Trip Report Hollywood Studios for 2 days (Tue 14 Jan and Thu 16 Jan 2020 both PO of 0700) DH, DW, DS (11) and DD (6)

TP predicted CL of 1 for Tue (Actual: 2) and CL of 4 (Actual: 4) for Thu. NOTE: If you don’t have bags, you get through security much more quickly. That’s what almost hosed us the first morning. We stayed 6 minutes away at All Star Movies and drove ourselves, leaving a little late the first morning and arriving in the parking lot at about 0622. Security required bags to go through separate lines which took a while. The second day we left stuff in the car, arrived earlier and were ready to go through bagless lines. That day it didn’t matter, as all lines were for both.
We rope dropped both days, barely tapping in time the first day at 0655 and better the second day at 0630. My wife got BG #31 the first day at 0700ish and I got BG #27 the second day at 0700ish. Just keeping refreshing every chance starting at one minute before park open till you get one. My daughter did not like it (too thrilling/scary) so we did rider switch the second time and my son got to ride 3x which he didn’t seem to mind. With RS the second group goes FP so the wait is very minimal. Both days ROTR started boarding later than it has in the past at 0811 and 0923, though we rode both times in the morning and were all off about 2 hours after it started operating.
