3-night CC Studio 09/01 for $325/night or 18% under
Even though for Sept, $325 is right at median for that month for multi-nighters, the pricing for CC studios doesn’t really swing too much away from median often, so I’d say it is a worthy rental.
Price Drop:
Too bad this is a 1-night, is about as low as it goes except for rando listings.
1-night BLT 1 Bedroom 07/06 orig $775/night now $496/n or 41% under median
1-night BW Studio 06/06 for $285/night or 31% under median
Two identical listings:
7-night SSR Studio 09/24 for $229/night or 22% under
Looking at just 7-nights or longer in Sept, maybe not the best price ever, but not a high likelihood you’ll see many, any lower - although there were a few last year.
I would bet my bottom Mickey Bar that many of those listings 30% or more above median both will not change and also will remain listed until check in date.
*Some are really past because I prune them into an archive once a week or so
1-night Poly Studio (Duo) 09/07 for $348/night or 30% under
We still are a little light on data for this room type when you are looking at a month by month window - if you look at all listings for this room, we’re up to 104 and this price falls in the 28-30% under median shown above, so
But, if you zoom down to just September - there are only 11 listings for that month and this one actually sits slightly above the median line. So, maybe?
However, with that small data set, I’m still gonna say anything at the Poly mid $300s is at least an OK deal.
If you need a 2 person room and want to check out the new Tower, so far: not many listings lower than this.
I see a few problems with any sort of litigation from the rental brokers. First off, I think this is Disney emphasizing something already part of contract with the points owners. I don’t think this is technically a new policy change, but enhanced enforcement of policies already in place.
Then there’s also the issue of standing. If the rental stores say that this would hurt their own points, then Disney Vacation Club can claim that the brokers are violating the terms of the ownership of points. If they say that they don’t own any points, then DVC can argue that they stand to lose nothing on the value of their 0 points.
