I am wiped - 2 late nights and an early morning (plus travel day) have caught up with me. Getting a gluten-free pizza from the food court and going to have an in-room night.

I am so glad I took last night easy. It made all the difference today!

It has been a day. Too much to type on my phone - I’ll get on my laptop when I get back to the resort after the parade and maybe fireworks.

Let’s just say the Magic Kingdom has not been exceptionally magical today a few times.

Ok, I’m back to my room and my laptop.

The day actually started really well - slight hiccup when they announced that Peter Pan (which I was the 3rd party in line for) was going to be “significantly delayed” opening at like 8:24. I had Multi-Pass today (NOT Premier) but wanted to try and knock it out. I did still manage to get to Mine Train and ride it before Early Hours ended. Rode Mine Train, Dumbo, It’s a Small World, and then headed to Cinderella’s Royal Table to check in.

Got checked in and seated almost immediately. One server started to set a pastry dish down then saw my receipt with the red fork indicating allergy and went to get a correct pastry dish. My assigned server came to see what I wanted to drink. He started to say he would get my pastries and the other one said she was getting them. She brought that. He brought my diet coke and took my order - Steak and Eggs, done medium. I got my wishing star because it was almost time for that ceremony. The table that was called at the same time was a mom, a couple of aunts, and 2 girls. They were seated right behind me, and the girls were ALL OVER the rail looking at the princesses as they walked around. The little one decided to put her hands on my table and look over - hence breathing on my pastries. At least I got a couple of bites. FINALLY when the table in front of me was being re-set and the little one crawled over the chairs on one side touching all the silverware and plates that had been put down the adults were told by the seating manager that they HAD to keep the girls at their table. The table in front of me was re-set again and seated and ordered from my same server after he brought me another diet coke. The table behind me got their food. The table in front of me got their food. Both including steak and eggs (I know it’s automatically safe for me). The larger table right below me which was seated after me got their food. I’d visited with all the princesses (Ariel, Jasmine, Merida, and Rapunzel). I finally got up and went to the seating manager and pointed to where I was sitting and asked about my food. She apologized and went to find out what happened to it. The server who brought me my pastries appeared momentarily with the traditional breakfast, allergy-safe. Um, fine, I’ll take it becaude I was verging on hangry by this point. The restaurant manager came over and said they were getting my steak and eggs, apologized profusely, and said she was taking care of my meal. The steak and eggs came as she was leaving my side. Finally my server reappeared with another diet coke and to tell me I was all set and didn’t need to wait for any check since it’s pre-paid. (I’m guessing he had no clue what went on at that point because he said absolutely NOTHING about it.) To the manager’s credit, the cost appeared on my gift card before 3pm. The food was ok - I kind of wish I’d just kept the traditional breakfast to be honest - but the whole experience overall was less than magical.

Rode Pirates, Carousel of Progress, and headed to get a seat for Festival of Fantasy. We had had some storms during the morning - the worst was while I was in CRT, so at least the length of the experience was a good thing. It was looking like rain - I don’t know if there was lightning in the area or they’re just being extra cautious after they got poured on mid-parade a week or two ago, but they announced that it was cancelled and we would have the Rainy Day Cavalcade. It was fine - but I had a great seat! LOL.

I headed over to the Poly early for my DVC tour (basically doing it for the gift card, but I am pondering it when I can retire in 5 years since I can get a big cash lump sum to start along with my regular pension). The tower is beautiful.

I headed back over to MK and met Mickey, then did Space Mountain. Winnie the Pooh (the ride), IASW again, Peter Pan, and Haunted Mansion. Grabbed some nibbles at Cosmic Rays (they really need to go back to monitoring the entrances and making sure people either have a mobile order or food from Cosmic Rays - a group came in with turkey legs and took up like 3 tables - got nothing from CR in the 15 minutes between them sitting and me leaving - while people with trays were looking for tables) and headed up to Tron for my ILL time. Took pictures at the sign and one ended up being prophetic. It had gone down. Technical difficulties. No clue when/if it was going to come back up. My ILL would be good when it did, but…

I had specifically timed it so it would be starting to get dark but I could still make the 9pm Starlight parade and then head back to the resort since I have an early day tomorrow. (I know it’s anathema to skip the fireworks for most, but HEA just doesn’t do it for me.) So I took a chance and went to a Guest Experience umbrella to explain my situation and see if by chance they could refund me. One magical point of the day is that they actually did! (At first they asked if I wanted a pass for something else and I said “Nothing else is a separate charge in Magic Kingdom.” Then they asked about tomorrow, but even if they had changed it to Flight, it wouldn’t have been great because I’m meeting up with my BFF after I do WAT and she isn’t going to have LL or ILL. So ultimately they did refund it. The sucky part is I wasn’t able to ride Tron.

But I did get a perfect spot for Starlight. There was a couple sitting on the curb in front of Tony’s and there was space for one me-sized butt between them and a trash can that was not being saved. I think they were or have been CMs just based on snippets of their conversation, so I think they knew what was going to happen. I was pretty much right behind a hole for a rope pole. LOL. BUT if I looked to the left I had a PERFECT view.

I loved the parade!! They hooked me with the intro to Baroque Hoedown and had me in tears with the beginning of the script from Wishes. The blur is for people who don’t want to be spoiled about the parade.

I headed back to the resort and will post a few pictures separately since I can do those from my phone - this was just a LOT to type - do feet up the wall, and get to bed.

Tomorrow back to Animal Kingdom!!

I won’t put parade pics up to not spoil it for people since it’s so new. They will be on insta.

From reading what you did, you tried to make the best of it, and rolled with all of the issues that came your way.

It just sucks that those kids crawled all over your table like that, just not cool at all.

Agree and always wonder why parents let their kids do that. It’s sad that the Cons (ahem, that was autocorrect changing CMs to Cons) had to be the ones telling the parents. The parents should know better.

Glad you are having fun. Thanks for sharing the pics. Epcot we went to twice last time we were at WDW in 2013!

The funniest part to me is that when the princesses were actually at their table, the little one wanted nothing to do with them.

Wild Africa Trek was so much fun!!!

Pics once I get the official ones too.

A couple of fun facts… (well, if you watched the DAK show)

1 - Rosie has not been able to join the big bloat, so it is usually her and Pachinga hanging out in the pond to the right.

2 - Nadirah has still not crossed the bridge.

The rest of the day was fun - a couple of rainy safaris, saw Bakso again, saw FOTLK, then my BFF and I went to Boma which was YUM!

I’m all showered and working on packing up. There is a good possibility that I am not going to get internet on the ship, but I will update once I am home!

On the bus to the cruise! It is just Sports guests on here - we take up almost the whole bus!

Our driver put the “Welcome back” video on rather than the “Welcome aboard” video. :joy:
