Wdw home for NBA?

All of this unofficial. Nothing from WDW and nothing about which if any resorts will be affected.

MLS players approved a deal to change their labor agreement to allow play to resume. That is the only thing definite.

NBA has a meeting this afternoon where the proposed plan is to be approved.

It’s official!

Wow so many updates here lol! Still no word on which resort(s)? I still haven’t heard for sure either way about players/staff only or everyone’s families too…anyone know?

Edited:

All from tweets from NBS sources.

The players agreed the deal, but it looks like further agreements will be necessary.

Families can come after the initial round, but they may have to quarantine when they arrive.

Daily testing for the whole squad. 7 days isolation for anyone testing

Staying “on WDW campus” is compulsory. Players and families are *unlikely to visit the parks but may use other facilities onsite.

Teams will not be choosing their resort and itbwas never considered. They will be offered certain resort(S) only.

Some sections of the property may be closed.

Did WAGS threaten to somehow scuttle the deal without a provision like this?

I saw a short interview with Jamal Murray (Nuggets player) talking about playing without crowds. He was talking about how difficult it will be without the hype crowds give players.

I wonder if there are ideas about at least piping in crowd noise? It seems it could help a bit.

They could do this as well

Disney stuffed animals, of course.

Zoom audience! It’s being used for everything else!

Alternatively, I’ve heard of many churches that people used poster board to make “themselves” to be placed in the pews for pastors to preach to.

Looks like the NBA deal might not be the done deal after all.

A significant number of NBA Players might not agree to play.

Don’t cancel those CSR reservations yet!

I think that the restart plan will move ahead although some players may opt out for different reasons. Half of the teams will be done (and out of the bubble) by late August/early September anyway.

This guy seems to be behind many of the tweets recently, although I don’t know how reliable he is.

Gran Destino, GF and YC depending on seedlings.

Do they want more seedlings :seedling: or less :seedling:??

Oh, my god, listening to sports radio on the way home from dinner. SOOOOOO painful. First, they were complaining about how the Celtics were staying at either the Gran Destino or Coronado and even their website is confused about which one. Then they went on to say that the lower seeds would be stuck at the, and I quote, ‘budget dump’ Yacht Club.

Took everything within me not to call. But I also am assuming that my July Yacht Club will be moved and this is the reason that Stormalong Bay won’t be available - because it will be used by the NBA.

Woah good call! Makes sense now why they would close that pool.

Lots of details
