Universal Orlando News & Planning Thread

Any particular reason folks are saying the universal ticket buying is worse? I have an annual pass but have had no issues buying tickets from undercover tourist in the past.

I’ve read a couple of reviews/posts on Reddit saying that they ran into some issues with using the Undercover Tourist tickets-- difficulty with trip cancellations/customer service, Undercover Tourist providing tickets for incorrect dates and then not refunding. Just makes me a bit leery since I need the ticket dates to be exact (trying to save a lil with dynamic prices).

Did you compare to Orlando Informer prices?

I also read something today about AAA offering lower than UT prices.

We had no issues with UT with Universal tickets our last two trips (2021 and 2024).

I have purchased tickets from UT for UOR before. But ultimately I found I can often get the best price directly from Universal. I do use UT for Disney tickets, however.

There was, at one point, where Universal’s site would actually say they had the best price…and it was true. I don’t think that is the case any longer, but haven’t found discounts to be compelling elsewhere. I haven’t looked in the past year or so, though, since last time we just bought seasonal passes instead.

Yes, it’s very close - both Orlando Informer and Undercover Tourist only save $30ish pp for the dates I’m looking at.

He’s my opinion… UT is a good service for tickets. However, if you have any issues - like trip cancellations, travel dates change or etc… Universal will not help you. You’ll have to deal with UT.

UT does offer refunds with a “restocking fee” in those situations.

So, if saving $30 / person really helps your budget then consider it. You just need to be as certain as possible that you are going on the exact dates and hope that nothing unexpected happens…

For those still waiting on Grinchmas news…

Hopefully, you can find some reassurance that not only are the shop interiors being decorated, but Seuss Landing is prepped as well…

Universal is scheduled to announce the Las Vegas year-round Halloween Experience, Universal Horror Unleashed, this Thursday - 10/31/24 (Halloween)

They’re not known for releasing multiple announcements at the same time. I’m guessing if you need Grinchmas news - tours / breakfast info & prices - you won’t see it until November.

Thanks! I guess I will stop obsessively checking tonight.

I don’t have any insider info. Just presumptions based on historical trends.

Who knows…you might get a Grinchmas miracle? :man_shrugging::man_shrugging:

There are just so many days I can’t look at all. I am worried I will miss it.

I just need to know so I can finalize plans.
