I hate one-night stays too, but we’re doing it in December 2025 just to get the two days of “free” Express Pass.
Have you walked from say Cabana bay -
Technically not its own entrance but definitely resort guest separate security screening…I am interpreting the Lowe’s comment about dedicated entrance as that type of entry- circumventing general security screening ect
After this torrent of negativity about my plans I looked into changing ESD for three nights and CBR for three nights into CBR for six nights.
You people saved me $40, a stay in a low rent hotel and an annoying hotel change.
I hope you bullies are proud of yourselves.
I’m sticking with the move to Portofino for the Express Passes and ESS for the final night. Doesn’t make any sense to change those.
Oooh - that’s new to me! Makes sense why Undercover Tourist phrased it that way too.
Edited: I see I am late - will catch up!
Oh yeah, that totally makes sense.
Did you confirm that it makes sense to pay the premium at Portofino? Sometimes if you have less than 3 people staying in the room, it is cheaper to buy Expresses outright depending on the dates. I presume you did the math … But I know how much trouble math gives you at times. ![]()
Yes.
The Express Passes would cost $640. A night at the cheapest onsite hotel is $85. For a total of $725.
My one night at PB is $330.

Yup my bad- making coffee now lol
My favorite eatery at IOA has gotten fresh paint on the building, surrounding area AND a new sign!
Looks pretty good!! I’m glad UOR is trying to refresh the other parks before Epic opens to make everyone go “Whoa!” at the entire resort!!
Posting in this thread as well to hopefully get a reply asap…
I am finally on hold with a rep from UOR. She is telling me that in order to use the individual day tickets for EU that are reserved with a current AP, you MUST have and ACTIVE AP at the time of using those individual tickets since they are linked to your AP. Does this seem correct?
My AP expires the end of August, but my teen’s AP expires the end of May. I was going to renew theirs anyway, but I was also just considering getting a 3 day ticket possibly instead. Now I’m being told that in order to use their EU tickets, their AP has to be renewed.
Pretty sure the CSR is wrong. Here’s the info from UOR FAQ re AP one-day tickets:
Q: What will I need to enter Universal Epic Universe with my Universal Epic Universe Passholder Add-On?
A: Upon purchasing the Universal Epic Universe add-on ticket, the ticket will be automatically linked to the Annual or Seasonal Pass selected at the time of purchase. To access Universal Epic Universe on the date of your visit, you must present the annual or seasonal pass that the ticket was linked to, as well as photo ID. Your Universal Epic Universe add-on ticket is valid for the date you selected at purchase – even if that date is after your pass has expired.
Yes, she was wrong. Whew! When she came back on the line to confirm the dates we want are still available, she confirmed you only to be a current pass holder to purchase the EU tickets, and the AP does not have to be active during the use of them.
Thanks for picture darkmite2! We LOVE Green Eggs & Ham - HAVE to hit it at least once every time we’re at UO !
Thank goodness! I was panicking trying to type fast enough that she was incorrect!
Glad you got tickets!!!
I was in a panic as well!! I’m so glad I was able to get the tickets, though. We are going in August!!! ![]()
And more shaded places to eat, I think?
Sleep eluded me again-
In case anyone is interested AAA has the multi-day tickets that include 1 day @ Epic
Not that it’s a huge difference but the dates that I checked, ( starting May 22 ) AAA - after taxes is coming in just over $11 cheaper than UO website. They also beat Undercover tourist by about $2 a ticket.
I am really surprised that even small discounts are out there.
Does anyone have experience buying UO tickets on Undercover Tourist? I’ve read uniformly positive reviews about Undercover Tourist for Disney, but slightly more mixed opinions on UO. I would be buying for a start date several days prior to my actual arrival to get the cheapest possible price, so I definitely don’t want anything to go wrong/have the tickets expire earlier than planned. The difference is not huge, ~$100 or so for our entire family.
