Universal Orlando News & Planning Thread

Kinda…you get a Grinch M&G on the tour.

However, I have really enjoyed the food the last couple of years. Plus, you can schedule a time that is even before EPA. I have had my breakfast and been walking to Hagrid’s about 10 minutes before RD!

IMHO - I probably wouldn’t do both

Other than breakfast, is there anything you get with the breakfast that’s not included in the tour? I feel like I read Max is only at one of the two, but I can’t remember which

With the Grinch Breakfast you get a meal, a couple “wandering” Who’s tableside and a meet & greet with The Grinch when done (No photo included - you can use your own phone)

Max only meets on the VIP tour!

Hope that helps!

Although pre Ovid it was different. The Grinch sat at our table for a while.

They changed it last year to a M&G after the meal.

Personally, I had a better Grinch interaction at the official character post. You get about 5 minutes of time with him that way. At the breakfast it definitely felt rushed.

I’m not currently planning on going to the breakfast this year.

Yes, but last year the whole breakfast was impacted by the forced change in location, wasn’t it? Has there been any confirmation that it will continue with those changes (location, menu, format) this year?

The food was better at Confisco Grill, but I did miss the buffet! The Grinch could’ve gone tableside, as The Whos did. However, they chose the photo op instead. It felt very rushed - at least on the morning I did it.

I don’t think we’ll get anything about this until October

Do you think they will keep to that October timeline (like last year)? I ask because it used to be early September (precovid it was Sept.7th when I purchased).

It’s always so hard to say. Plus, Thanksgiving is the last weekend of November. Grinchmas isn’t starting until Nov. 22 this year.

They, typically, have the breakfast on Thursday - Sunday. They add a few days near Christmas.

I do think they’ll go back to Circus McGurkus, but no longer buffet! (I’m only guessing!)

That’s a bummer. We’re there from 10/26 to 11/3.

I’m there 10/23-27. Bummed Spider-Man will be down. Love that ride!

Yea… MIB is closed for me in December! I’m really bummed about it. Anytime USF is missing one of it’s major attractions you can really “feel” it at that park. It’s not as bad as when Mummy was down for almost a year, but USF needs every attraction open

It will likely be confusing to many guests to have some Signature Hotels offering Express Pass while other Signature Hotels do it.

I don’t know how long the contractural obligations with the hotels to offer Express Pass last, but this change in category designation (especially the addition of Sapphire) leads me to believe that at some point Express Pass will no longer be “free” with any Universal hotels.

If you watch vloggers you may have seen that there’s a lot of construction going on in CityWalk. The demolition of the surf shop & Cinnabon have left speculation on what is coming in that area. The rumor has been it’s going to be Super Nintendo related. The wait to find out is over!

Universal Orlando has confirmed that their flagship Universal Studios Store in CityWalk will expand in 2025 featuring two new dedicated areas, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Super Nintendo World.

Guests will also be able to enjoy their favorite Butterbeer treats – including the Cold, Frozen, Hot and Vegan beverage varieties – and other specialty items from The Wizarding World at a new dedicated counter in the Universal Studios Store next year.

Now, this is great news! It seems like this would make being able to grab a butter beer on the way out possible, without interfering with park time.

There have been so many times I’ve wanted a butterbeer, but I’m in CityWalk - especially late at night! I’m thrilled!! I won’t be surprised if they add a WWOHP treat counter either!
