The future of Springfield

Rix is, bluntly, an uninformed moron.

What I’d give to be an uninformed moron…

Love or hate him, you gotta admit he’s a savvy business guy. I’ve watched him since 2018. He’s grown his channel and tried different things. I respect the hustle…

This gives me an idea for a fun UOR poll… Gotta go do some research!

He’s entertaining and a good source of second hand info that’s offically announced. Just don’t trust any rumors.

Nobody beats Rick when it comes to noticing little changes in the parks. And he’s the first to report because of the livestreams.

Well, “demolish” is a bit of an exaggeration. Its not like its an immersive experience. Take down the “Krustyland” facade on The Simpsons Ride building and the signs on Fast Food Boulevard, and most of the work is done. The real bitch would be putting up barrier walls, effectively cutting off access from DreamWorks Destination to the World Expo

That timeline makes the most sense. Not gonna do anyone any good to close down a chunk of a park, unless youve got something new to distract them with. I imagine we’ll get a press release from Universal later this or early next year announcing the fate of Springfield, but not to expect any action to be taken until after EU opens

A Pokémon retheme is also just a rumor, same with the Lost Continent becoming Hyrule. Epic will have more than enough room for a phase two expansion, and Nintendo has more than enough source material to draw from then just keep throwing Mario at it

Just change the names, and youve got the perfect descriptor of Dinoland USA

Ha! So true!

Whatever replaces The Simpsons Ride/Springfield, i think needs to be reincorporated back into World Expo, like BTTF was. Seems kinda pointless to have a land with only an MIB attraction, and the land isnt even themed to Men In Black.

It is! I like to speak in colloquial terms when I’m amongst my friends! When I’m at work & making a presentation I’m far more formal! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

FYI - I’m not arguing or anything! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

There’s a lot of work to do to convert this area. It’ll definitely be a middle ground between “demolish it all” and “Just take down some signs & repaint”…

You cant definitively claim either of those things. The fact is all we or anyone else has is rumors and speculation. Someof us (TST) have a much better track record than others, but without actual documentation to back it up, we got nothing.

Hogsmeade has eaten away way too much of The Lost Continent for it to be properly immersive like TLOZ deserves. If it doesnt become an extension of either the Wizarding or Jurassic Worlds (and i hope it doesnt) it will have to be something small scale like Skull Island (which i havent forgiven for costing us the iconic Jurassic Park gate)

May we have the quote?

Let me try to link to the Video where he says it. One moment please.

That’s the video…fast-forward to 6:37, which right about where he says it. It is pretty quick.

I actually asked in the comments of the video what the source is for what he claimed.

Okay, you’re clear.

The lore of LZ is far deeper than anything Mario or Donkey Kong have to offer. If there is to be a theme park land, it cant be half-assed by cramming it into IOA’s leftover space.

Pokémon may be putting out the exact same game over and over again, but theres no denying how big their world is. It too would be a shame to just give it a small strip of land without any room to show off any iconic landmarks… UNLESS!

they keep it as simple as possible, and turn Springfield into… PALLET TOWN

OMG. I could NOT disagree with you more!!!

The ride is awesome and it’s the worst, slowest and most boring line in Florida!!!

Admittedly, I had to spend most of the time only looking through my peripheral vision, else I might have vomited!

I find the room with the jokes at the carnival booths funny. Although…I think they actually modified the queue. I remember it used to be more involved…but last time we tried it (which is the last time I would try it), it did seem far less interesting than it used to be. So…you might be right about that now.

I think he was just fooling around! It seemed like he called the statue “Link” after the main character of Zelda and talked to it as if it could answer all his Zelda rumor questions…
