Looks like you need to brush up on your Sabacc skills
Probably. I imagine some will make it more affordable by doing this as an all adults âboys tripâ or âgirls tripâ so 3 or 4 adults can share the cost as opposed to going as a family.
Do they even have wormholes in Star Wars or is that too sciency?
There are always going to be people who will say itâs too much.
That being said, thereâs never been anything like this that I can recall. How many times have we seen trip reports where we talk about a funny CM in character who completely made someoneâs day. We all then respond with how much we love that attention to detail and immersiveness of the moment where all of our real-world problems melt away?
How long have people been lamenting the loss of shows like Hoop de whatever and the other one? This is the chance to live in the show for 2 days straight!!
Also, face actors arenât cheap. 25 years ago, they were getting paid $50+ an hour when I applied for the role of Alice (I was too tall). There is an entire hotel that has to know the storyline, inside and out to handle any guest trying to trip them up.
Disney is (was) notorious about CMâs staying in character of the land/attractions they were assigned to. It was a huge no-no to be seen in a different land than where your costume dictates you should be. It interrupted the story Walt was trying to tell. They loosened up the restrictions some (I see cross-land dressing far more than I used to), but they still hold that âshowâ mentality above everything except safety. And a hotel full of itâŚwowsers. I canât wait!
Iâm available for adoption should you need additional family members to round out your rooms.

These are the only people I can see really enjoying this thing. For anyone who has already been to Galaxyâs edge, ridden the rides multiple times, eaten in the eateries, built a light saber, been to Ogaâs a bunchâŚthis Galactic Starcruiser seems to not be particularly exciting. I could see it being great if you had not been to in the last few years. As frequent flyers to the parks, I would rather have a VIP tour for the same money.
Not in current canon that Iâm aware of. Instead they have âhyperspace,â which has very ambiguous rules about how it works, but it is not merely going at lightspeed. You enter a different dimension of space which makes travel between far (i.e., multiple lightyear) distances possible in a relatively short period of time.
Give or take a parsec.
Got it.
I was at BC one time and Mickey was there modelling a Christmas outfit. There was a long line. I had just come from EP where Iâd had my photo taken at the character spot. I said to the CM marshalling the line âHow did Mickey get here before me?â Quick as a flash she said, âThere are mouse tunnels throughout Disney World. He uses those.â
This I also find particularly interesting. Like any game, I imagine itâs more fun if you understand it well and are good at it. Are there deep SW fans that are already playing this somewhere? Otherwise youâre going to need repeat trips for this to be really fun. But it looks like a good portion of the âfree time.â
Is a unit of distance, not time. So Ham Solo saying the Minimalist Falcon can make the Kestrel Run in 12 parsnips is basically gibberish, regardless of the convoluted retconning some fans have attempted.
I canât even imagine how much that will cost considering how expensive a 2BR cash room is at a DVC resort compared to a Studio.
I love how they are treating the room square footage as if they are actually on a ship or star cruiser with limited space, not a small outparcel building with multiple square miles of open marshland around it that could be developed. Couldnât have built in a little elbow room, huh? ![]()

Only to modern sensibilities. But to those living a LONG TIME ago in a galaxy far, far away, they have a different usage for the term âparsecâ. ![]()
The movie Solo retcons this nicely, IMO. (But also I donât think these types of things matter.)
You can buy the game at Walmart and practice before you get there⌠Robot or human?
There are also several websites that explain how to play the game.
I have not looked, but I am guessing there are probably reddit channels on the subject and I would not doubt that their are online versions of the game that people are playing right now.
Ahhh interesting. I was wondering if this was the case. I am not the Star Wars fan that I once was!
Is this like Star Wars quidditch?
In fairness, I canât complain about the parsec thing AND the Force-o-meter chlorine count (or whatever)
Itâs fantasy, not sci-fi
Iâm sure this was explained well (probably by you @Jeff_AZ) on @OBNurseNH movie thread.
Hans bragging of only 12 parsecs for the Kessel Run is to do with the route he took, not the time.
