Price Increases

I was going to say the same thing.

I used to collect teddy bears from the time I was young through college. But they were all cute bears. And none cost even close to that.

Having said that, if someone were wealthy and had a particular style they were decorating a baby’s nursery, and that bear for the style, I could be okay with it. I don’t think it is meant to be a toy, really, despite the age range.

It isn’t really all that different than adults paying $250 for a lightsaber.

I’m sorry for your loss. I too remember how hard the height of the pandemic was for your momma. May her memory be a blessing.

My momma has told me she expects us to go on the star cruiser with our inheritance as she knows I won’t pay for it with my own money. I love that you know how your momma would want you to spend yours.

Southwest fare drop alert :rotating_light:

I’m traveling to Raleigh over Pres Day Weekend for a hockey tournament and found a $30pp price drop. Not sure if other fares are down as well but worth looking if your flying around then

But what if you buy it for an adult?

So you’re saying I should drive up to Raleigh for Presidents day weekend?

You could. I might have some time between games or a forum auntie could come to a game.

Just know that we won’t get a schedule until max if a week prior

My mom has a similar, broader sentiment. She’s told me when I die make sure you buy something for you, something you normally wouldn’t. I rarely spend on myself.

SW is getting so bad I’m seriously considering ending the card.

look at this!

A 2.5 hour plane ride (PHL to MCO) now no LESS than 5.5 hours. GTFOH with this! Those flights could be $25 a piece and I’d still take pause.

Yeah the lack of nonstops is mind boggling

The trouble is that even as sucky as they are they are still usually the most affordable option out there especially factoring in bags.

True, but when does the question “how much is your time worth” factor in?

SW has done the same thing here (WA State). Most flights to Orlando now include a 6 hour layover in Denver. 6 hours!

At least there are options there so if they cancel one flight there is still a chance you will get a flight. They have been combining the pact of direct flights with VERY few flights at some airports.

Honestly getting a branded card with another airline that better serves your needs will include free bags, priority boarding, and other perks that will probably save you more in the long run. It’s why I keep my AA card.

Mostly what it would cost me in bags hasn’t been worth the switch so far.

I have that one too but schedules are not better from here and fares are always higher.

Since the jetBlue merger prices here have been a lot higher too.

I got a ridiculous sign on bonus with JetBlue during Covid and anyone booked with me gets a free bag.
