I used to collect teddy bears from the time I was young through college. But they were all cute bears. And none cost even close to that.
Having said that, if someone were wealthy and had a particular style they were decorating a baby’s nursery, and that bear for the style, I could be okay with it. I don’t think it is meant to be a toy, really, despite the age range.
It isn’t really all that different than adults paying $250 for a lightsaber.
I’m sorry for your loss. I too remember how hard the height of the pandemic was for your momma. May her memory be a blessing.
My momma has told me she expects us to go on the star cruiser with our inheritance as she knows I won’t pay for it with my own money. I love that you know how your momma would want you to spend yours.
I’m traveling to Raleigh over Pres Day Weekend for a hockey tournament and found a $30pp price drop. Not sure if other fares are down as well but worth looking if your flying around then
My mom has a similar, broader sentiment. She’s told me when I die make sure you buy something for you, something you normally wouldn’t. I rarely spend on myself.
At least there are options there so if they cancel one flight there is still a chance you will get a flight. They have been combining the pact of direct flights with VERY few flights at some airports.
Honestly getting a branded card with another airline that better serves your needs will include free bags, priority boarding, and other perks that will probably save you more in the long run. It’s why I keep my AA card.
