Pictures and Online Reports from the CM preview re-opening of MK

One bad moment due to a weather delay, which doesn’t seem like a big deal. Then again, if that same bad moment happens every time there’s a weather delay (or any other reason a major attraction closes and then reopens… we know how common that situation is, so there’s no reason to think this is really an isolated situation) then there’s an actual problem. This is the reason they do a soft opening with the CM’s though… hopefully TPB will see this as a point where they can improve and come up with a solution.

Yes, in that I wore different themed masks, and my hair is now large enough to have its own ZIPcode.

Every time I read ‘cavalcade’, it’s in the voice of a 1930’s movie musical preview announcement.

Disney have eleased details fo all the character entertainment in the parks. Including a motorised cavalcade in DHS. That’s a throw back, I’d love for it to stay but maybe as crowds ramp up they’ll end it? I really hope not.

How long until…?

My toddlers did this at the airport last month while looking out on the tarmac on our layover. As a parent, there’s really nothing you can do to prevent it! You just try your best to keep your kids corralled and hope for the best.

Most of the Plexiglas I saw was up high.

But this raises something…it seems the rules Disney has been putting in place would likely dissuade parents with very young kids from even wanting to come.

Like your report.

But I sure hope that when things do get back to normal that Disney will NOT leave any of this stuff up. It takes away from the magic.

It looks like the outside windows are blocked on FOP, as well.
I don’t get it. Maybe Disney didn’t get the memo that the virus is airborne, and as they say in engineering- the solution to pollution is dilution.

A guest will be passing into a space where someone has been breathing for who knows how long, with little chance for those virions to be dispersed. I know they’re trying to prevent droplet transmission, but in doing so Disney is actually creating enclosed spaces, which increases the risk of airborne transmission.

People are already wearing masks, which takes care of the droplet issue.

They should open the windows and crank up the fans!

No sure about the fans, I think sne caution the use of them. As an example, fans at work stations are now banned at my work.

I could see restricting fans at work, because that’s just pushing inside air around.

But the CDC recommends ventilation (bringing outside air in). Fans in the queues distribute fresh outside air throughout the waiting area. That’s also why they recommend aiming the air nozzle in a plane at one’s face- it’s “good air” (well, better than the rest of the cabin air, anyway) and why Uber requires drivers to open the windows.

This is interesting. Hadn’t thought about that!

We were talking to a friend who works for Delta Airlines. He mentioned that, for Delta at least, their airplanes circulate the entire volume of the plane’s air every 20 minutes, and that it goes through a HEPA filter rated for X amount of time (forget the time)…but due to COVID, they are replacing the filters twice as frequently as they used to.

His takeaway? That the air in the planes is likely some of the safest, other than being outside itself. I found that reassuring.

I have heard this about flying as well. But I keep reading in the media this is one of the worst places to be. How confusing.

You guys! 10 min wait for FOP and 25 min for 7DMT at the busiest time of day? That’s honestly less than we wait WITH FPP. If they can make a profit this way, I almost wish they would just leave the attendance caps. But that won’t be feasible with current pricing once the pandemic ends … and I’d like everyone to be able to afford to come. Still…

Who had access today - was it still CM or did AP previews start today?

I have to say I didn’t think I would go back without fireworks, but this is appealing

Today and tomorrow is AP previews. General admission starts Saturday.
