Park hopping at any time available starting Jan 9

I hope it’s 7 days out daily, not length of trip. As one who is never able to take a longer trip, this was such a disadvantage. G+ leveled the playing field in that regard.

I don’t want both ADRs and advance G+ to be at 60 days, that would make that morning way too hectic. But 60 for dining and 30 for G+ would be fine

Agreed. It’s hectic to me to try to plan for everything all at once as well. Once I solidify ADRs, I can make plans and know what LLs will work.

I had the same issue, but if booking is in advance as expected, I would be very surprised if it wasn’t “length of trip” booking for LL. It will put those like you and me who take short trips at a disadvantage for the top tier attractions.

Each time WDW switches the method of “Fastpass” booking, WDW is rearranging which group gets advantages and which group gets disadvantages.

The real problem is demand for the top tier attractions exceeds supply and no booking method can change that reality.

Absolutely!

And sometimes I think the FP and LL systems add to a false sense of demand, which only makes it worse.

I have never received a “heart” from @ryan1, but I got an “Absolutely!”

It’s hectic but it would allow you more flexibility- balance an LL priority vs ADR. With LL bookings so much later it’s hard to switch dining around if you want to accommodate an LL.

I think we’ve jumped back

It isn’t though. After your first 3, youu could go back to get another Tier 1.

This was particularly important at HS where almost every ride was a Tier 1.

This is my main question. Plus how.does thay work with Park Hoping?

This is sort of true. Our lines with G+ were very short last weekend. I would not pay more for fewer rides, but even shorter wiats because the later is negligible.

True. Although I never once experienced that, so the difference is of little consequence to me, personally.

I 100% agree with this.

And I 1000% agree with this. At least I could use the drops to secure a good Tier 1 after I had used all 3 of my originals. In this case it sounds like you have to buy it, only to find out you can’t get what you want.

Because of short trips, booking a 4th FP+ and using the drops to make it a good one was the only way I ever got a FOP.

It is kind of funny to me, because one of the major complaint against G+ is that you have to be on your phone all the time…but after your first three FP+, you had to do exactly the same thing. Which I despised. And when I DID try to obtain a fourth FP+, in almost every case, either what we wanted just wasn’t available any longer, or the wait time in standby was virtually a walk-on, so obtaining a FP+ wasn’t worth the effort.

I’m always amazed when I hear stories about how people took advantage of FP+ beyond the first three. We just never could make it work in any beneficial way.

For certain parks this was definately true. But I would just refresh when we were at a bathroom break or meal. And if I got what I wanted - fine. If not, oh well.

I did not ride FOP my first trip because of the lines or SDD the first trip I was there also because of lines and my ability to get a FPP for either. But it was free and “oh well”.

This probably plays a bigger role in the “hate” of G+ in terms of the phone aspect, I suppose. With FP+, there was no consequence whether you used it or not. But with G+, you paid “good money” for it, and so there is probably this self-added pressure to make the most of it…so you probably work harder at taking advantage of it!

For me it was almost the opposite. I resent working harder on G+. But honestly, I loved figuring out how to use them both to my advantage.

What is unacceptable is G+ being down for 30 to 75 mins at 7:00. Which just happened on my trip.

My very favorite was Maxpass in CA. I know it can’t work in WDW because there aren’t enough rides. But I was shocked G+ built on Maxpass, but made it worse.

Sorry…that I was my point. So we agree. I meant that the frustration with being on the phone a lot with G+ stems from the fact that you feel the need to have to work harder for it since you paid for it. (Does that make it clearer what I meant?)

I wonder if the tier 1 rides will be a smaller set than before. If it were only 2 at HS, EP, and AK I think the system would be more reasonable. But if half the rides are Tier 1, then Genie+ becomes pointless IMO.

I kind of think the ONLY park that it makes sense to have tiers is MK. You already have tiers in a way with ILLS. Not enough rides in the other parks to also have tiers for regular LL.

Yes - I see what you meant. Reading too fast.

Same. Actually, we have never ridden SDD :grimacing: The only ride in Disney I haven’t ridden.
