I think so because I think they are selling the OTU from hotel inventory?
The only thing i hate is that these are features that a āclubā shouldāve had baked in.
Oh? I didnāt know they went as low as 8. Which is what youād need to have more than 2 nights ![]()
And even if you decide to do āvalueā to supplement your stay, it still can make a lot of sense from a logistical standpoint. Paying a little more to not be worried about bare-minimum unpacking for a night (or 2⦠or maaaaybe 3), or the whole hotel transfer thing (which leaves you āhomelessā for a day essentially) is pretty appealing to me.
There is another thread where people are clearly willing to drop $400/pp per day just so they donāt have to schedule their Fastpasses (yeah, Iāve completely reverted to naming it FP to avoid confusion. No limps, or lisps, or luninlanes here!
they shoulda just stuck with the name), so only an extra $100 or so doesnāt sound so bad for these things.
But they are getting you to swap Pop/POR for OKW. So I feel like thatās somehow a stinky win for DVC.
If itās to your benefit, why not take advantage of it? without hating on it? Thank you Disney for this gift! Let the bad energy go man.
Because the whole thing is Gross and it feels Chapek and ![]()
(even as I realized I will probably do this just for this)
So I would have to use a couple of my points but thatās way better for my long term points use than to take a solo trip on family points
NO NO NO NO NO NO⦠donāt do that! Because while I personally donāt hate this as much as I should⦠this is CLEARLY a stepping stone for Disney and they need see as much angry push back as possible to keep them from taking it further.
Itās $100 this year. Next year, if everyone loves it⦠$125. If everyone still loves it? $500 for the year after.
So keep on hatinā! (just ahhā¦donāt hate on the club members who do it is all. Keep that ire directed strictly at disney
)
ALL. OF. THIS.
I have many thoughts and responses, but they are not being coherent at the moment. Iāll have to marinate and come back later.

I am usually very flee flowing with the hearts!
I am always jelly of all your achievement badges!
My angry push back will take the form of not complaining that I canāt buy it as a non-resident. Take that Disney!
Giveām both barrels!
(seriously, cause thatās serious BS)
I havenāt read all the way through so apologies if this has already been posted.
Iāve seen 80-95 points thrown around for a renewal.
Because the whole thing is Gross and it feels Chapek and
Keep in mind that he was picked by Igor for a reason - Igor has always IMO been a pay to play kinda guy he just usually buts a big bow on it.
The more I think about each element of this thing, the more it is clear they are hoping to get DVC members to spend MORE money than they would have otherwise. I am not talking about the $100. The $100 is so that you feel like you have skin in the game, and now you have to take advantage of the benefitsā¦which means you to doing things like buy more OTU points than you would have otherwise.
Also, the point cost of the annual pass is way more than if you paid cash for itā¦but if you take advantage of it anyhow, it frees up points you would have used at a resort so that they can make those available for other guests. More guests on site for longer means more money they make from food, etc.
Even the ticket discount allows them to get more people into the parks on weekdays than they possibly would have otherwise.
The entitlement aspect of lounge access is what really bothers me the most. Pay money so you can take cuts in front of those who are legitimately allowed to use the lounge and are waiting for it.
