Next time, I"m just going to sit on the roof with a lightning rod in one hand and a bag of skittles in the other. It certainly won’t be any more painful than the last 3 weeks I’ve spent behind the wheel today.

I think I’ve said some of this after every road trip.

So it turns out that we were closer to serious damage than I originally thought.

I left for an appointment. When I came back, I saw this roof repair going on. Turns out that 4 doors down, the storm peeled off the roof and seriously damaged the units to the right of the nail salon.

My MiL in Lee Cty has to replace her roof She’s fine, just tired from all the clean-up.

Can you explain what happens if you do this? I mean, I get the lightning rod part, but not sure how the Skittles factor in.

The smart people arrange an order and pickup time and don’t wait in a line at all! I’ve spent more time getting a parking space most times I’ve done Honeybaked Ham than I’ve spent getting my order!

Very true! Although we’ve still had to wait a while even when doing that just bc of the sheer volume. Every once in a while my dad’s company would have one shipped to our house and that was always a real delight. Or if you happen to go to an event where they are catering… yummm.
