Very glad you are home!! Long drives that become longer in progress are just the worst! You mentally are ready for X hours and then somewhere along the way it becomes YX hours! Ugh.

Family name in our part of the country is Witt. Years ago the daughter of a family friend* was going out with a Witt son. The friend didn’t bother learning the kid’s name as he had his own names for the brothers: starting with Dim, Half, Nit . . . Can’t recall all of them now. 
*former Ranger, Vietnam vet, ran around with those mountain folk. He didn’t impress easily.

Back home, unpacked, and about halfway cleaned up. Here’s the pile from the front yard.
Still have the back yard to do this week. Not nearly as bad.
Gave the neighbors a good show this afternoon. Don and I do not fight but we made an exception today while taking down the shutters. I mean, we certainly have many disagreements but they don’t end up with raised voices. Basically, neither was doing it the way the other would. It was loud too, which is even rarer. Seems like there might have possibly been some built up tension and stress from the last week. Who knew?
Oh well. The cable is still out so we were just doing our bit to entertain the neighborhood.
All is well now, by the way. (He started doing it the correct way 
)
