Did you check their pre-booked reservations? Sometimes they have some decent $ last minute ones.

And this is why we don’t do things on a whim. I’m looking like a total novice now.
We’re trying to match Ryley’s nights away so we’re stuck with 9/2-9/5. No biggie. We have Swan for $840.

Swan will do fine. You are likely only to get a confirmed reservation at this point, if anything. But keep checking. They show up right up till the last minute. I booked one at day 6 when I had to cancel my placeholder at 5 days.

I try to update my DVC rental database each morning and evening with deals from 4 of the common sites out there, nothing out there for those exact dates, but might be worth trying a quick search each day!

DVC rental fail. Kind of hurtful when you can feel the sniggering in the Notice Of Refund email.

Childless Labor – Holiday Weekend without the Kid
September2-5, 2022
All that energy peddling Girls Scout Cookies last winter comes to finally fruition. Ryley’s Girl Scout troop is off to Universal this weekend as reward for their cookie sales. Since we had so much fun in July, Don and I thought we’d again get away for the weekend at the same time. AP rate at the Swan for 3 nights, not much more than park passes figured out, and a Liner Meetup with @Julianne_fki on Saturday. Other than that, we are footloose and fancy free, sorta.
Took last night and this morning to get Ryley packed and ready to go. When I went to pull out her cosmetic travel bag this morning, I found all of the travel bottles filled with ‘science experiments’ that have been there since shortly after her return in July. 
She’s thrilled about going to Universal, hanging out without us, but mostly because we are picking her up before her last class today to hit the road. It’s just orchestra so we’re not derailing her path to supporting us in our old age yet (we actually wanted to go a little earlier but Math is the class before and we didn’t want to disrupt that).
Girl Scouts have rented an Airbnb in Champions Gate. Only 4 miles and 85 minutes from the Disney exit. We are dropping her off on our way and picking her up Monday morning. The goal is to hit the road here by about 3:30, hoping to be shed of the kid by 5:30 (which is probably optimistic).
Our plans are SWGE this evening, which we have not seen after dark yet. Lucked into an Oga’s ADR for 8:45 tonight. The fun part is going to be whether or not we have time to check into the Swan before or after HS. (Already received the room ready text while I’m still sitting in my office). Saturday is AK in the morning and Liner Meetup at the Poly after lunch. Shooting for GotG BG Sunday morning. Other than that, we are just going where the wind blows us.

I’m excited to follow along, but I am so mad at you for getting my hopes up that there was a surprise fall girl scout cookie sale. I completely missed getting any this year.
