No HOA! So also no pool. But it’s worth the trade off for me.
Plus, after taking my kids to a pool a couple times last year, I decided it’s a colossal waste of money for our family until at least one of them can swim.
After DS4 (then 3) jumped straight into the middle of the pool w/o knowing how to swim and I had to jump in to rescue him while I was nursing his little brother, I’m always on high alert at the pool and it is not relaxing for me. Until one of them can swim, I’ll just mooch off others’ pool memberships and explore natural water sources. Maybe an occasional free splash pad.
Sorry all the things are closed! What a bummer! Hopefully VC opens soon.

I just can’t handle the extreme changes. Three weeks ago we were watching baseball in 30 degree temps, now it’s gonna be 90s. Where’s the in between?!!
