I thought that Disney was using a “model” plan similar to a school building option in my state. There are basically sets of detailed plans (in schools there may be more options based on grades/enrollment) that can be slightly adjusted to meet a need. It can save money. I still think the Poly Tower was built using the original Reflections plan, slightly modified. This too seems to be those original plans (including cabins) modified?

I actually like the look of the Poly tower a lot, and I agree that LSL seems to have a similar style…but I’m not sure I like the fact that both now look like they should belong to the same resort.

The speed of construction is impressive. If only they knew how to build lightcycle-inspired roller coasters at the same pace.

The lines are similar, but I think they are different enough. 
The coloration and vegetation will make a big difference, too, once that’s done.

They aren’t identical, it is true. I just think the styling is similar enough that they seem like they should be sitting on the same plot of land. I would have LIKED to have seen a bit more disparity between them. BUT, it isn’t a big deal. I won’t be able to stay there using my points anyhow!! 
(And, despite my appreciate for Poly Tower, the point cost is too high to justify me trying to book there.) I don’t even know why I care, come to think of it.

Me too, especially if eventually it has some of the greenery in the pictures which just takes time.
This right here. For the monorail resorts I love how different they are, though I wouldn’t mind LSL looking like WL.

It really seems to only affect the area down by the water where Hoop De Doo, Trails End, and the boat dock are. But it totally takes you out of the theming, at least right now. We’ll see what it is like when it’s complete.

Taking the bus back from MK, WL and FtW shared bussing, and they dropped off at FtW first at the Settlement stop. I was shocked at how close (and huge!) this is next to the Settlement and Pioneer Hall. It really is kind of jarring. Looks gorgeous though! And I will keep it in mind as an option for our next trip, planning on after Thanksgiving 2027.

I too want to stay here badly. This theming was built for me. But I too will have to wait for 2027 or beyond actually. Unless we incorporate with our Universal trip in fall 2027.

Len mentioned the new concept art on a Disney Dish and I realized it hadn’t been posted here. That is some pool complex first thing I’ve seen that makes me really interested. I hope itbhas a nice lobby and good restaurants. Then it might be what I wish Wilderness Lodge was, and it could become a favorite for me.

Many people are going to love the pool/lazy river area. One thing that I personally would find annoying is that the best “room view” rooms (overlooking the water and potentially MK fireworks) mean you will also have to deal with overlooking the pool and dealing with the noise that comes with it. It does look quite beautiful, however, based on the art work.

It is possible based on orientation, that the 2nd arm the one that looks like it is kn the back, will be the one with a better view of Magic Kingdom? I think the Contemporary will block most of those views, but they definitely seem to ne maximizing the lake front with that curve in the shoreline. There may be a quite pool down there, but that isnt as bad.

Is it possible that Poly towers DVC will be discounted once Lakeshore Lodge hits the market? I have been on the fence for a while. Hoping for a big discount!

I can totally get this! I LOVE WL but I need it to take a quarter of a page from Poly or AKL. I LOVE this theme and I hope my next trip is here!

Hoping it’s an actual lazy river and not that little thing they have a BC/YC.
But I bet there will be lake side or resort view rooms that are further away from the “main pool” area. I know there is speculation about the allocation of DVC/ Cash rooms, but they could have the DVC rooms in the quieter section of the resort like they do at BC.
I admit, I haven’t been looking at all the renderings. I almost always like the actual finished product better so I’m trying to stay away from tooany visuals.
Do you or DW have any interest staying there? P.S. Hope Grandpa life is suiting you well. Haven’t kept up here much except for the daily thread.
