Small chance of getting to this, but trying to keep options open. I learned last year how difficult one night without XP was.
If somehow able to get there, I might choose between 2 (back to back) nights without XP or 1 night with it. Is one option clearly better, given that it’s about $400 cheaper for us to do 2 nights vs 1 with XP?
Excited to follow along with the details here, even if I don’t end up going. Love this event!

IME - It will depend on how late you can stay awake. If you can go until after midnight or even 2am you can do a lot at HHN.
Here’s my advice - If you have the time, do the two nights. I would consider adding Stay & Scream to at least one night. For $35 you get into USF as early as 3pm. You can then enter the HHN house holding areas at any time after then. Around 5pm they’ll start letting people who are already in a holding enter the houses. You can easily knock out two houses before they start letting the regular HHN ticket holders in the gates.
Plus, if you get there before 4pm, you’ll have time to ride The Mummy or pop into Diagon Alley if you want.
Also, it may seem obvious, but prioritize houses. If you aren’t able to stay awake past 11am you will probably be able to only do about 4 houses per night. (without Stay & Scream)
I have seen trip reports with people able to do double that. However, my DD has to leave by 11pm and that was our experience without UXP.
Furthermore, two nights will give you a chance to see the shows. The Nightmare Fuel show is amazing!! The dates for the Death Eaters haven’t been announced yet, but I’m excited to see them in Diagon Alley! Also, the ride lines aren’t too bad. With two nights you can hop on MIB or Gringott’s!
What night are your dates? My daughter will be leaving halfway through our trip. Her HHN Rush of Fear pass has UXP on it. I use it if I want to do the same house twice with UXP in one night after she’s gone. I did it last year. I loved the Universal Monsters & Michael Myers Halloween houses. Getting to do them twice each night was a blast! They only check the dates & that it’s valid.
If you are there between Sept. 20 - 24, and have a HHN ticket, I’d gladly meet you to lend you her Express Pass! If you don’t mind having to hang out with me for a night!
When I use her HHN UXP I place the tickets “back-to-back” in my lanyard. Whenever I wanted to “double dip” I’d just flip the pouch around! I promise no one will check the name.

Thank you so much for the generous offer to help me out and all of your HHN knowledge! Unfortunately, my dates would be the week before Halloween, and it’s very speculative at this point if it has a chance of happening.
We’ll see what the map looks like, what can be accomplished in the first couple of hours from each holding area, and how many must-see houses there are and if we’re ok missing a few lower rated ones. That would help me get a feel for what one night with Stay and Scream can get done and how much value a 2nd night adds for its cost.
Will definitely follow along with your experiences!

Over the last month or so, I’ve heard the rumor that the old Tribute Store will be back as the HHN Tribute store. Today, was the first time someone is saying it’s going to be a NY Comic Book Store theme… We’ll see!
I have heard that the JP Tribute store is going away at the start of HHN. It has stayed longer than planned due to popularity. That not have given Creative TMs enough time to turnover that shop for HHN
At least, “That’s what I heard!” (IYKYK!)

HHN themed coverings are up around USF food booths! Fun!
I believe the latter is a reference to Stranger Things!

It is! They actually sell those pizzas at places like Walmart (there’s one in my freezer as I type
).

I assume the first one is a reference to the Yeti: Camp Ground Kills HHN house

The food updates are starting to pop up today on social media because of that tasting event! I am gonna NEED the fedra food rations can! I hope they aren’t gone by the end of October when I’ll be there. Apparently the ravioli that comes in it tastes really good too so that’s an added bonus.

I watched The Pugh Two reviews. I am glad that they had one negative review. Typically, they love everything!
Every festival I see the food preview and get excited. Then the quality at the booths versus a curated media event is much different!

I’m sure I’ll try something!

We were very disappointed in the HHN food quality last year. I hope it’s better this year.
Yeah, honestly I’m typically disappointed too! Also, I have a feeling the fedra can is prob exclusive to the event. I doubt they are giving those out during horror nights… so I think I got excited for nothing! Lol. I typically try one, maybe two, things but I don’t like to waste my time in the food lines.

I bet they do have it! It’s the same can as the Who Hash from Green Egg & Ham Tots, but with a different sticker. Very easy to produce and not the first time they’ve done something like it at HHN
True!! There are times people are queues like 10 deep for a sandwich or tater!
