I would grab this if it was Jambo
Iâve only visited AK Lodge once to look around so not really familiar with the differences between the two locations.
What do you prefer about Jambo over Kidani?
The main lobby for starters. I havenât stayed overnight at either but the lobby in the main Lodge/ Jambo is breathtaking. The Kidani DVC lobby is nice, but for me, doesnât have the wow factor. Jambo has more food and shopping options. The resort seems more compact so the pool is more centrally located. I guess itâs just preference. And weâve eaten at Sanaa and it wasnât our favorite. Thatâs the main restaurant at Kidani.
Cool, thanks!
When we visited, I didnât even know which one I was in. ![]()
Now I know I was in Jambo.
The only time to go to Kidani if you arenât staying there is for Sanna. Jambo seems the place to be otherwise, lol.
I think Kidani is where Casanova lives, so seeing him would be a reason to go to Kidani.
Iâm not familiar with the animals or even what trails are at which resort. Iâd be happy seeing any of them. But do you know which area has the giraffes? I think if I had children staying with me, that would be the savannah I would want to be on.
I believe all the savannas except for Pembe (small one near the pool at Kidani) have giraffes. I felt the same way.

whoa
If only this started the 25th⌠Not that I need to be staying at SSR another 4 nights ![]()
Not with that attitude anyway ![]()
My 4 night trip has already turned into an 8 night trip as it is ![]()
70%+ off rack rate, crazy.
The power of Disney compounding.

Overall, rare to see this price point for dedicated BC Studios in June.
3-night BC Studio 06/16 for $368/night or 21% under median
I realized during my DLR trip last week that I am wholly âDisney-ed outâ as I was faking smiles for DD. She and I have a loose plan to visit WDW her birthday weekend in July, but even she was saying she didnât know about going in the heat again. I could talk myself into a resort stay⌠and that GF is very close to what weâd had penciled in. (7/11 x four nights).
Itâll prolly be gone by the time I get to talk to her. ![]()
While this is âonlyâ 12% under the July median for this room - it is extremely rare to see Riv studios longer than 5 days anywhere near this price point.
ETA: For the record: the cash rate from Disney on this room starting July 7th is $820 after tax with no discount, but $615 after tax with the current 30% Summer discount.
So, total cash price vs rental: $6,150 - $4,048 = $2,102 less.
10-night Riviera Studio 07/07 for $405/night or 12% under median
In fact: the number of July listings 5-nights or longer we saw last year for less than $442? ZERO.
