I was going to head to the Pret at the Chessy station to grab food, but the lines for security back in were crazy so I’ll grab something inside. Once up to the DL hotel, the lines to get through tapstiles at DLP were intense too. Definitely better to avoid this by not trying to park hop around park opening.
Got in and grabbed a pain au chocolat and a croissant on Main Street and then decided to hit Buzz again since it’s a short posted line.
Ran through several rides in the morning.

Hyperspace Mountain: posted 5 min wait, actual was 10.
Checked out the dragon under the castle which is incredible. Legit awesome.
Teacups were posted 10, actual 14.
Up next was going to be Alice’s Labyrinth, but it was a little busy so I’ll come back later when it’s a bit less crowded inside. Decided to take a snack break with poffertjes with Nutella from the Old Mill.
Le Pays de Conté Fees was a posted 15 and actual 11. Cute little boat ride through the storybook scenes. Not as impressive as DLRs Storybook Canal.
The crowds are here and I’ve accomplished a ton already. Going to head through Main Street and the Disney Village for some shopping.
Browsed my way back to the room. Picked up a souvenir park map, but I’m not finding the merch I was hoping for. It’s the same in pretty much every store and there’s no simple “Disneyland Paris” type shirts.
I grabbed lunch from Earl of Sandwich and came back to the hotel. Going to eat and rest a bit before heading back into the parks.
Have you ridden Shanghai’s? So Paris is better than Cali? Interesting!
I haven’t yet. Heard that’s incredible though. I liked it better than DLR. It’s not quite as long, and there are some different parts. I don’t know if that would be a universal preference but it was the first time I had a desire to ride Pirates twice in the same trip.
It’s just unique. I don’t know if it’s better per say than the classic but when you’ve ridden the basic version enough it’s refreshing and still well done.
Shanghai rides that stood out to me were Tron, Pirates, water raft ride, Tarzan show, Peter Pan was so well done and newer feeling, and the slow moving boat ride. I liked the castle walk thru and fireworks too. Only got to see rainy day calvacade for parade though as there was a hurricane off the coast
Well I got back to the hotel, ate and laid down and ended up taking a nice long nap. Back up now and heading back towards the parks. Still have 6 hours of park time tonight. I did go ahead and my Downtown reservation, nothing interesting enough there to make it worth it.
First stop was Starbucks for a bit of caffeine. Once I got into the park, grabbed a spot along the curb for the parade that starts in about 15 min.
Caught the parade (after moving spots to not be at the very end of the route) and I’ve headed to get in line for Big Thunder. Posted 45.
After 36 minutes, there was an announcement that the ride is down and we are all cleared from the queue. So that was less than successful.

I’m really looking forward to it, I hear it’s the best. I’ll try again later tonight if it reopens, and/or at rope drop tomorrow!
I haven’t really had to wait in many lines so far, so not a day ruiner. Plus I had just finished my audiobook when it stopped, so could be worse!
Grabbed some popcorn (I like that you can get sweet or salty - probably could have asked for both!) and now I’m waiting in line for Pirates again.
Posted 15, actual 8. Almost as good as the first time (having a boat to myself last night was great). Still my preferred one over the US versions although I’m not totally sure why.
