When is too early to start the trip report? Lol I will probably start it when I start packing.

What I did was got my TR written up beforehand when I had time. That way I could add more info to it and not be rushed. It stays saved as a draft forever, even if you close out the forum.

I then posted it after I got on the plane.

Will the dessert parties be far behind?

How does this pricing compare to what it used to be? Anyone know? Seems a little high to me.

Agreed. If you are a family of four, you could spend just a little more for a private fireworks cruise (without the desserts) …and if you have more than four, it would actually be less per person!

I was going to say that but wasn’t sure I had my facts straight.

For sure the private one is the way to go.

Well, even if they do bring them back soon, a 9/18 start date would be too late for my trip, so that’s sort of a bummer. Ah well.

HOLY CARP – on hold now!

Or… you could grab a dole whip at the poly and sit on the beach to watch for a fraction of the cost

My DH loves fireworks cruises – we did several back in the early 2000’s. Doing research for this trip, I read the descriptions and prices of all the special fireworks things to him, and the fireworks dessert cruise was the only thing he really wanted to do. So … Yeah, it’s ridiculously expensive and I will be sacrificing something else for this. But… fireworks cruise! Sweets! Drinks! Boats! Fireworks! It could be fun. :grinning:

Same price as WDW was charging in 2019 based off the info in this review

Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise My sister and I did this cruise on a girls trip. What a fabulous experience! It happened to be Mother’s Day, and each Mom was given a gorgeous white rose. You meet at the ferry dock at the Ticket and Transportation Center. After you check in you are welcome to enjoy some nice appetizers – cheese, veggies, etc. – and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. When it’s time to board the ferry, you’re escorted aboard, and help yourself to a wide assortment of sweets, cheeses and drinks. After a narrated cruise around the lagoon, the ferry stops in the perfect position to see the fireworks. After the show, we were given a take-home treat as we disembarked. Truly a “ferrytale” experience! (Read my full review, here.) Price is $99/$69, and discounts for annual passholders may be available.

I can see the fireworks cruise a better value than the dessert fireworks party. I’ve done the later and been sorely disappointed w/ the treats and my seating that had a totally obstructed view :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: I don’t think you can see the same things from the boat but I know a dole whip at poly and its beach will get me the same view  for a fraction of the cost

This is true

I was concerned about fireworks and crowds and even though I never considered dessert parties in the past, I would have probably booked one for our October trip if they were available.

I really LOVED our MK fireworks cruise that we did in July of 2018, but I couldn’t rationalize the cost of one for just dd and I (we had five of us in 2018).

So to reduce our exposure to really large crowds in early October, we have an ADR for California Grill on 10/1 to watch Disney Enchantment and one for La Hacienda de San Angel on 10/4 to watch Harmonious.

I realize we won’t be able to see the detail of the projection on the castle from CG, but I am okay with giving that up to be in a less crowded space.

How does this work?

You wouldn’t be disappointed w/ the fireworks cruise, but it helps to have close to a fuller boat to lower the cost per person.

The Poly beach w/ a Dole Whip is the more affordable option for just one or two people! :sunglasses:

Just looked at the map

Yup…this is the restaurant outside the Mexican Pavillion.

I was going back and forth between this and Rose & Crown. Dd ended up liking this menu better and I was concerned if they started doing the R&C fireworks dining packages again we wouldn’t be seated w/ a great view.

Isn’t part of the fireworks magic the synchronized audio? Wouldn’t you miss this from a boat?
