No I haven’t! Can I get it at its lounge?
Last I heard, Tune In is not serving any food.
Oh. I think I have to get this.
I mean, you could just buy a cheap one at Target once you’re here ![]()
Ok wow, maybe it is the picture but that one looks TINY for $16. Definitely need to know the grams on that one.
I just watched another review of CBS. They said that afternoon tea should start in a couple weeks and will be $120 a person. They also said you should expect your meal to take about 2h. As other people have said, they said the cake itself may not be the highlight of the meal. Their impression is that the cakes, which we know are made at CBS’s offsite kitchen, are frozen at a couple of points during production.
This may sound nuts but if I am traveling more than 1 night I always bring my food scale and my own measuring tools.
tsa has never blinked an eye…

Presumably that’s plus tax and tip. So $150.
Tea at the Ritz in London is $100 all-in.
Just saying.
I know this is dramatic but ![]()
Don’t name yourself a cake bake shop and charge an arm-and-a-leg per slice and then have subpar (par-frozen, lol) cake!
So they are a bake shop that doesn’t actually bake?!?
They bake – offsite. A lot of wedding cakes are made the same way – baked a bit ahead of time, wrapped and frozen. When it’s time to ice and build the cake, they will often get chilled between steps to help everything set and go smoothly. This might be why some people have not loved the cake. Now, I haven’t heard of anyone getting frozen cake, just that it tasted like it had been frozen.
FWIW, I think most reviews have enjoyed the food more than the desserts.
Still disappointing to me.
Ok, so the Afternoon Tea will be off the table if that’s per person ![]()
Like no, I just can’t pay that much for food.
I hope they are wrong about the price point quoted. Or maybe, once again, they floated a price point to the reviewers to gauge reaction.
Disney now has a page for CBS’s afternoon tea. Notice that it’s booked as “an event” and not just as regular dining.

They dropped it to $95
I’m struggling to see the value. The menu is nothing special.
You are paying for the ambiance. ![]()
There are some incredibly creative afternoon teas available in London, all with delightful ambiances.
This one says you can have as much tea as you want. But is silent on the rest of it. When I had tea at the Ritz you could have as many sandwiches as you wanted. They kept bringing them round.
I have fond memories of my college roommate and I eating two rounds of everything at the Ritz. It was so lovely.
I’m glad they dropped the price. It’s still overpriced, but so much of their menu is. Now I have to decide which meal to try in Dec because I doubt I will be so enamored that I need to go more than once in a weekend.
