Any word on when this joint is opening? Still wonder what is taking so long. I thought they were near completion in March. Interesting.

Yep. I found an article from March 2022 where plans were announced and that it would open in 2023. That’s a lot of schedule slip.

I was hoping to go there for tea in December – which means it will not open until 2025 at the earliest. :roll_eyes:

Don’t worry – it’s personal to me. It will likely be open as soon as I leave Orlando. Space220 did the same thing. :boar:

I wish they would bring it back. Taking my younger two there on a spring break trip is one of my favorite WDW memories. It was the perfect afternoon break – even if my youngest stole my cream puff swan. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I cancelled my GF tea room reservation in 2019 due to kiddo meltdown, thinking I’d have plenty of chances to do it one day. :weary: So add me to the list who is eagerly awaiting the return of a tea service to Disney!

I seem to recall that the reason it hasn’t opened was not a construction issue, but that the owner of the business ran into financial issues being able to finish it because they also had to build a location off site where the actual baking takes place. I might not have that entirely accurate, so don’t quote me. It is what I remember.

Can’t imagine how much money Gwendolyn of CBS is hemorrhaging while waiting for logistics. Rent at the BW would be steep and I wonder what penalties are baked in for late opening?
