Cake Bake Shop

The last several times I looked for it (Apr and Dec 2023) they didn’t have it.

I wish it weren’t. It is literally my all time favorite food item on all of Disney property… so good! Last March I happened to buy it the very last day they had it. The CM told me it wouldn’t be back until fall.

I will be looking for it in January!

That cookie doesn’t look good at all.

Oh no. No it doesn’t. I was expecting a crinkle cookie.

The one I had was soft and cakey. This new one looks hard and dry.

Ok that makes sense and I agree. We only get the cake and don’t look at the other stuff.

As long as you don’t invite too many non-DVC friends.

Non DVC friends? Nope they’ll have to pay $78. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Is charcuterie even considered an entree though??

Good point. But if not then that’s one expensive appetizer!

Oh, wow – I didn’t even notice that the discount was only on the entree. :hushed:

What, precisely, does this mean at a restaurant???

They sell merch and whole cakes – so no discount on those things.

Ooh! So I can buy my “I went broke at the Cake Bake Shop” T-shirt, but not at a discount?

Well…okay, that makes sense.

No love for AP holders though…the discounts are usually the same.

We got pixie dusted golden tickets on Tuesday for Cake Bake. It is beautiful inside and everything looked very tasty, but agree it doesn’t really seem to fit in with the Boardwalk area and vibe.
We have dietary restrictions and there was no food there that we could have. They said they are working on expanding some of those options, but none at the time being. The cakes looked beautiful but also super expensive - some of the other treats (brownies, cookies) were a little less outrageous. My daughter got a couple treats and said that they were the best (especially the chocolate chip cookie), but she is 9 and I’m not sure would know the difference between that and a quick service cupcake in all honesty.
If they expand their menu, we would definitely go back, but otherwise will likely head next door for Boardwalk ice cream.

The afternoon tea at the four seasons was good. They don’t always do it though. I went to the spring one. They might do a holiday one again too.
