I know. But I do have other trips- San Diego this weekend to see Carson, a quick trip to DLR Sunday/Monday, and then Cabo in 2 weeks! I don’t have time for WDW in November so December it is.
I know. Catch a flight to Cali and meet me at DLR on Sunday!
I need your Cabo recommendations since I’ll be there in December
Oh man! If there was a flight that was cheap enough I so would do this!
The totality of the decor screams french, or european - black & white, gold flourishes, coach style sconce lighting (not to mention the silent e’s pointed out in another comment). Raised pinkies are sure to follow. ![]()
It screams Grand Floridian
I think if I were a business owner with a couple of successful restaurants both located in the same geographical area, I would open a couple more locations in other major markets, like maybe Dallas, New York, Atlanta, to see if the business model works elsewhere before going all in at WDW. My guess is the bigger goal is to supply the wedding cakes for Disney Fairytale Weddings, and this might already be in the works.
Yes, it does! Or Riviera. I couldn’t agree more. Very European
The one by me (I drove past it today, actually) is so white pink and gold, that if you managed to take Narcoossee’s out and put this in, I didn’t think WDWNT would notice! ![]()

There’s a lot of hate surrounding this new Cake Bake from what I’m reading. I agree, it does seem like a better fit for GF over BW, but the locations in Indy stay booked so I imagine this one will do fairly well regardless. We’ve been to both locations in Indy for carry out cake slices, never for a meal. I’m not a pretentious eater and am quite fine with my chicken fingers and fries over whatever they serve there. Like most, I too balked at the prices. $20 for a slice of cake, seriously?! All our friends have praised the delicious cake so we tried it and I do not like cake at all. This cake is damn good (as it should be for the price). One slice will last at least 2 days too. We go to Indy couple times a year and make it a point to get cake while we are there so we wouldn’t go out of our way to go to the one at Disney because there are so many other things to see, do, and eat that aren’t close by at home. However, it is cute, whimsical, and fairytale like with delicious cake. If anything give the Earl’s Court chocolate cake a try.
Welcome to the Forum!
That’s me also! I’ve only stood in line once at DS. I’ve picked up online orders at the other location a couple of times.
I’m with you on this, though we are in the minority. DH, however, loves the cookies but won’t stand in line for hours and he tells me not to go pick up cookies to bring home! It would take me 4 sittings to eat one cookie. And I would need a glass of milk to go with it each time. The frosting to cake ratio is too much for us.
I’ve stopped ordering cookies online and picking them up at the other location on my way to the airport because my friends all say they are too sweet.
I honestly don’t mind that they’re charging this much for cake. It’s their thing. It’s the prices for the same dishes / drinks as elsewhere at Disney for twice the price that bugs me.
I bring mine for the seasonal Caramel Gingersnap cookie sandwich at Karmell Kuche! My very favorite!
I’ve been trying to get another one of the chocolate version since the first and only one I got in December 2022, with no luck. I guess I’ll have to try the gingerbread one if there’s still no chocolate this year.
Chocolate and snickerdoodle are on this year’s menu!
Caramel chocolate cookie sandwich at Karamell-Küche? Don’t tease me.
I think they always have the chocolate one. Gingerbread is seasonal though.
Aaaauuuuggghhhh!!
You made my day!
This almost makes up for losing the kheer at Sanaa.
