Mixed feelings about going home today. Our flight leaves at 6:50pm and we were going to take advantage of the DVC holding salon, but it’s closed , due to covid and the ONE person that can authorize late checkout is on vacation. Seriously ONE person!?! We got an extra hour; sarcastic wooppee. Trying to figure out our options w/ USO at airport. Meanwhile pretty quiet still
My family lived there were a few weeks while we were waiting for our base housing to be complete back in 1991. We’d use the pool occasionally over the years we lived there. You could watch fireworks at Hilton Hawaiian Village from there on Friday nights I think. Good memories.
New state policy went into effect yesterday 9/13 @Trampslady_18966. You have to show proof of vaccination or a neg c-19 test w/in last ?? Hrs?? At checkin they are putting black wrist bands on ppl so they can order food at resort. Yesterday DS went to get a dole whip and was denied b/c he didn’t have a wrist band. He thought he needed the daily pool band. Which made him angry b/c you can only pay for the dole whip w/ a room key/ charge. So he went to get a pool band and waited in line a Second time making sure the lady saw his band. She let him order even though we now know it was the wrong band. He was glaring he said. Yet Another example of poor Disney Corp communication
Thanks, I did see about the proof of vaccine, but did not know about the wristband until a fewinutes ago when I called for a Makahiki breakfast reservation.
Why did they not get current guests taken care of… that stinks D’s had to go through that all to find out. You leave tomorrow?
Safe travels. We booked the Ko Olina lounge at the airport for 2 hours the day we leave. Was planning to ask for a late checkout. Flying home at night leaves lots of time on the table
It’s a lounge for guests of the Ko Olina resorts at the airport. I just googled it after reading about it somewhere. You can book 2 hour slots, but nothing is provided like snacks. A place to sit out of the way I guess.
