Oh! Thanks for the help
I was really looking forward to this after hours of Japanese animation watching w/ son. Naturto and his pork ramen
Pretty much.
I eat ramen with chopsticks. But I guess the real question is ramen soup?
I’ve seen people in Japan eating ramen with chopsticks. They also have a porcelain spoon that they use for the broth. They drink the dregs by lifting the bowl to their mouth.
Here’s a video from a Japanese chef on how to eat ramen properly:
Ramen
Pho
Cheap packaged ramen at home
And can it be a snack?
Thanks for the ramen rabbit hole trip
Did an afternoon snorkel 🤿 at Aulani; I feel safer here. This lagoon has barriers to keep big prey out. But it was overcast and could only see fish when the sun peeked out. Saw one angel and some blue lips ( my name ) I’ll try again tomorrow before all the tourists muddy the water
Then dole whip from Opihis on the way up to shower. Pineapple for DS and watermelon for me, both topped w/ coconut
Water is still murky today. The first days here is was so clear we could walk out and see clear to bottom. New family on the beach asking for tips. Nice to help ppl out. Yesterday the lobby was full of new ppl checking in. Sitting in front row, on beach by 0815
Wow that water does look murky. Weird.
The Aulani beach is great for kids. It’s horrible if you want to have waves. I’m not surprised the other resorts and public beach is not used as much since they don’t cater as much to families like Disney does. Do you know if the Four Seasons has a nice pool, slides, etc.? I wonder if it’s less expensive (usually I would think opposite).
I can only see one pool at 4 seasons. I think the Aulani pool area is great for kids. And the beach too. There are plenty of beaches nearby that you could try surfing
Loving your pictures! (Snorkeling makes me hyperventilate, too.)
I cannot snorkel and did have a panic attack once and almost got stung by an anemone because I was fleeing and not looking where I was going. For me it is just fish. I cannot be in the water with fish near me. Which kind of defeats the purpose of snorkeling.
Edited to say perhaps it was an urchin rather than an anemone that I almost brushed over.
Thank you
OMG, that cupcake looks so good! Macadamia nuts and pineapple - two of my favorite things!
Yes, we passed a huge encampment on the other side of the island in February.
Another friend knew a guy from her youth who became homeless in Tacoma. A friend of his paid for him to fly to Hawaii to be homeless there. Earlier this year he committed suicide. He had gotten into a program and cleaned up (from drugs) but had to leave and no where to go, no jobs (everything closed due to covid at the time), and didn’t want to go back to that existence on the streets, I guess. Very sad.
