Wrong park.

Seated in a nice covered corner of the patio with a light cross breeze. Indoors would be better but most of the seating is outdoors.

Here are some more Photopass pics from earlier:

Is Halloween my favorite holiday?

No.

Are the decorations on point?

Heck yeah.

I was. I asked @Jeff_AZ for his opinion on any areas he noticed. I cited the article on BlogMickey. But he hadn’t seen any.

I think it was @mkmuzzy. And I think it looks great in the pictures! And I like the idea. I’ll let you know how it looks tomorrow.

I have artificial turf in my backyard and it is great. Looks good and easy to take care of. As long as it’s not the cheap stuff like at a mini golf course.

As long as mowing isn’t required… We zero scaped our yard in NM and loved that!

We just had a little nap at the hotel room and are waiting for our Uber to take us to the Hollywood Bowl for a night of John Williams and the music of the movies! We did this last year and it was amazing. Can’t wait to see it again, hopefully with some different musical selections to mix things up.

I’m so excited to hear the Obi-Wan theme again!!! I first heard it performed at Star Wars Celebration three months ago when John Williams premiered it live.

John Williams was amazing, as usual! Like last year, David Newman (a film composer in his own right) conducted the first half of the show. Then after intermission, John Williams himself came out and conducted the rest. It went according to the program in the setlist above except after Fiddler, he said to showcase the violin soloist, they decided to add Schindler’s List.

Then at the end, he did a triple encore. The first encore was a brand new piece that he premiered for us tonight! It is called “Helena’s Theme” and is a theme for Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s character in the new Indiana Jones movie that is coming out next summer! He said James Mangold (the director) suggested he play it for us. It was beautiful. Then he followed it up with the Raiders March. Then his last encore was Imperial March. After that he said he had to go to bed. :joy:

He is sharp as a tack, humorous, charming, and brilliant. My number one hero. And he is athletic. The stamina it takes to conduct an orchestra for an hour should not be underestimated. I could tell he was giving it his all and it was taking its toll, but he is a champion and kept going.

Certainly worth the price of admission! One of my favorite contemporary composers.
