I know all the numbers show it’s not crowded right now but it does not feel empty at all!!

With the exception of HS on Sunday (because HS never feels empty), I thought EPCOT, AK, and MK all felt pretty quiet this past weekend.

Ok I’m realizing I haven’t been anywhere but HS and DS for a while. Time to make APR’s!! You know for science!

Yes, you must.

I know. I’m not a good gauge of crowds since we don’t go often. July 1 wait times at MK were low but it didn’t feel empty - it wasn’t packed but not empty. What does a super crowded day look like??

“Since February, Disney’s Florida parks have experienced shorter average wait times for rides and attractions compared to last year, according to Thrill Data, a site that tracks theme park wait information.”

So Disney’s response was to increase the cost of G+. I know they put out some resort deals too but the feeling of being nickel and dimed doesn’t feel good.

I felt like I was going to die twice yesterday and I was just casually touring. I can’t see how anyone but native Floridians stand the swamp oven.

As I said after my 2021 trip, I will never again volunteer to visit during the summer. If it is a choice between that or jot going, it will have to be that. But it really sucked the life out of me

It stinks that this is the first summer in years that I am not going to Disney World.

Honestly I still feel sick today. Yesterday in magic kingdom I was thinking… Literally the only thing in this entire park that I would deal w this weather to experience is HEA. I love HM and a few others but nope.

My DH is taking our youngest to WDW next Wednesday. Hopefully the crowds stay low!

Last June I was really struggling with the heat until I increased the electrolytes. I started the day off instead of waiting till I felt icky.

Also watched some weather site - idk which now - which tracked the forecast temperature by the hour. I made sure to head out of the park when the temp hit 90 .
Didn’t get to do as much but sure felt better.

Yes one year we’d tour from open till after eating lunch indoors somewhere and then take a break at 1 or 2. Then we’d come back for dinner at 6 or 7 and stay till close. Much better avoiding the afternoons. I’d still have to shower twice a day but it really made a world of difference being indoors or in the pool during those hours.

It’s definitely not for everyone. We managed it pretty well, and both of our big family visits have been the last week of August.

Yes. We realized starting the day with some Powerade made a huge difference and continuing through the day. We probably shared 3-4 bottles a day and it made a huge difference. Have a Powerade budget.

I’m sayin what I’m sayin

Hydration.

Kinda thinking of a sun umbrella for any summer touring plans in future.

(Hopefully none but I’m taking my Disney however it presents itself  )

Do it! I’m a newer convert to this and it makes a huge difference! A wonderful bonus is it also keeps people from bumping into me!!

We were at Epcot on July 3rd and it was (relatively speaking!) a ghost town! I was stunned! Yes, it was hotter than the surface of the sun, but it was awesome! Hoping that late August is similar :crossed_fingers:
