Where The Crowds Aren't - Disney's Slow Summer

Yes it will be surface of the sun hot, and likely also relatively light crowds. So very similar.

Hahah, so true! We typically come every year at the end of the summer so we are used to it. For us, the misery is worth the low crowds. I am testing one of my new wdw outfits today at kiddo’s swim class (always - billion degrees and 100% humidity) to make sure its up to the task of the heat :joy:

Agreed! Our preferred week is last one in August too. School doesn’t start until September so it’s perfect for us.

I used to make my kids go with me to Schlitterbahn water park for Mother’s Day Weekend cuz low crowds but it’s spring fed water so cold and not heated. They’d be shivering in every single line but that line was only 5-10 minutes long!

We were there near end of June and it was pretty crowded, especially MK. But then it wasn’t crazy hot either. In contrast Universal a few days after was terrible, in fact they closed rides in the afternoon due to heat.

They closed rides? Never heard of that? When were you there? We were there the end of June. I also found Universal more unbearable as there is no shade at all.

Yes it was on 24th in the afternoon , they said we’re closing for an hour. My sons went round looking for rides that were open - all the same, but were so hot they gave up and left. Unless it was due to a pending storm but it never rained.
