Then imagine what a delightful diversion this could be
I am unable to rate GOTG currently
Umm no…remember, I’m a wanna-be theme park professional.
A lot of rides in MK are only good if you experienced them as a child and now go on them for the nostalgia factor. JC, PP, and IaSW, Tiki Room, Country Bears, HoP, CoP, are examples of this.
A lot of the food (especially the desserts in QS) is…not good. Why is everything a mousse? I almost never encounter a mousse in restaurants or cafes otherwise.
Yes! Also, I wish meeting Pocahontas was a thing.
100% agree. Growing up, my family couldn’t afford fancy vacations, so I never went. I don’t care for most of those rides. (Tiki Room I do enjoy for some reason.)
It was in 2016 and 2019.
We met all the princesses and a queen on our 2016 trip. It was a goal.
(It involved a lot of walking!!)
Ugh … a few hours late to the game and I missed it … I like reading the controversial posts!
No one has ever put those specific words in that particular order before.
Same! I think it generates great discussion. I love to know how others feel about these things.
The English, we are friends. (And pay no mind to the dangling participle in my Tiki Room post.)
I was thinking more in terms of the concept than nitpicking the grammar. If you had said “I enjoy the Tiki Room”, then I would have had the same comment
Oh, I thought it was an observation about my Yodaesque syntax.
Disney World food and restaurants are overrated. Even California Grill (which was once my favorite) is not the same quality to me as it was 10+ years ago.
it’s a small world is not sweet or charming or even just boring. At the length it is, it is torture.
I’m going to focus on the positive unpopular opinions I have, rather than dunking:
- I like Cinderella Castle the way it is right now
- While Genie+ could certainly be improved, it worked great for me and I like it
- Rainforest Cafe is a must do for my family every trip
- I like Batuu exactly the way it is and am glad it wasn’t Tatooine or Hoth, etc.
- MMRR is awesome
- I like Gloria Estefan and would not mind getting Conga at all!
a precious gem ![]()
I have no interest in WDW popcorn, nor the popcorn buckets. As much as we love to eat popcorn, we don’t do that at WDW. While at Disney, we don’t buy snacks much at all (we’ve brought just a few snacks with us), and popcorn just makes us thirsty, which then spirals into the issue of drinking the few bottles of water/pop/tea we bring to the park too soon and having to refill the water or buy expensive park pop. Plus popcorn is not low carb, and really spikes DH’s blood sugar quickly. I have enough challenges trying to keep my souvenir purchases to a low amount, and I don’t need to get started on another thing I am tempted to buy the latest collectible of (and just as we’re trying to purge possessions now that we’re retired).
Me too
Me too. It’s like MaxPass.
This isn’t a given?
Me too.
As a west coaster and former southern Californian who grew up with Disneyland, Small World at WDW just seems kind of pointless.
Ahhhh I like reading what everyone really thinks. Without a war
. I often question how everyone is always positive about everything bc that’s unrealistic.
ETA: and I’m hearting all posts regardless if I agree or not; for bravery
