Annnd Rise went down just before we got to batuu.
Oh no! Hope it’s back up quickly.
Supposedly it’s back up, but we’ve been stopped in the tunnel for about 10 minutes. We’ll see.
Almost everyone in front of us in the line left so we decided to wait it out. Then they let us in. Expecting it to move fast, I didn’t ask about DAS access. Now we’re stuck.
they are taking DAS through a different entrance… I never had to wait in the line. Ask a CM.
We are going in late May with someone who will have DAS. Is it most common to escort you through FP line right away or do they give you a return time? Not specifically for RotR but other rides.
Thanks!
They put ppl through a different entrance for RotR and all others give a return time. They are using the FP lane for DAS entrance.
So for Slinky Dog, Space Mountain, etc, we show up at 10AM, they say, “come back at 10:30”?
Are you able to ride another ride or what would you do while waiting?
Usually the return time is the current wait time, so if it’s a 40min wait and you arrive at 1000 they would tell you to return at 1040, but I’ve had CMs wave me through pre-covid. You are allowed one DAS return at a time so you are free to go on another ride, use FP (if it returns) or find a resting spot. You still need to go to GS at your first park to request a DAS. They will ask you to explain why you need one and it’s up to the judgment of the CM. They will create your party for you and take your picture. Anyone in your party can go to ask for a return time but the DAS holder has to ride.
Yeah we did it last time. The line seemed like it would be quick so we wanted to experience the regular line. By the time we realized it wasn’t going to be fast, it was too late. We got through it though.
Hmmmm, I just realized I’ve only been through the regular line once over a year ago… was it worth it?
Not really. I mean, there were some cool props, but nothing I’d wait for again.
HS is almost always a good day for DS. He’s a thrill seeker, and that park has most of his favorite rides.
After ROtR, we did, SDD on DAS, and then the line for Alien Saucers was only about 10-15 minutes, so I went and got DAS for MMRR while they rode, then we all ride TSM, which also had a short line.
We took a short break and had a Mickey pretzel and some lemonade. It may be blasphemy, but Mickey pretzels are underwhelming. I wanted a num num cookie, but nobody felt like going over there, lol.
We then rode MMRR, which DS loves and gets super excited for. We have DAS down to a science, so I got DH and DS a DAS for ToT and while they rode, I went over to Trolley Car and got my mug that I forgot last time, and a macchiato, and a carrot cake cookie. Waaay better than that pretzel. ToT takes forever, even with DAS bc they’re only running one side, so I got some shopping time in.
After they tapped in at ToT, I went over to the guest experience umbrella and got us all a DAS for MFSR. By the time they came out, we had just enough time to go to Muppetvision before MFSR. DS was bored at Muppetvision last time, but since they released the myers in Disney+, he’s been watching, so we wanted to try it again. It was ok for him. I was really hoping he’d like it, but kids have those pesky independent minds, lol.
So we went over to MFSR, and can I say that I think this is the better ride in Batuu? Rise is fun, but MFSR is a much more fun experience, and we always have a blast on it. DH agrees. I know I read that they were mixing parties again, but we three were given our own private ride.
When we got off that, it was time for our adr at SciFi. It’s worth mentioning, that we’ve done indoor table service just about every day, and this was the ONLY place that specifically brought up leaving masks on until drinks arrive.
Sci fi is… Pretty typical for sci fi. Decent food, slow service. After we were fine, we called it a day and went back to the room, but asked if at pineapple lanai for some dole floats.
Tomorrow’s our last day, and it’s at MK. It’s always bittersweet. Part of me never wants to leave, but part of me also wants my own bed, normal food routine, and my cats and normalcy.
I’ve been slacking on photos this trip. Trying to be more in the moment.
Last day. MK. Snacking around the park.
We had Gaston’s for breakfast. It’s ok. Glad I tried it, not a must do in the future.
But.
Spring roll cart is OPEN.
Come to mama…
I’ve never managed to be there when that cart is open. It’s an urban myth to me.
I read they jumped the price from 8 to 10 bucks on those tiny springs rolls… T or F? and are they worth the price?
9.50 for 2.
Anytime there is pepperoni involved it’s gonna be greasy. But they look sooooooooooo goooooooooood!
Can you ask them to please be open from 6/28-7/7? Thanks. Tell them I’ve literally been coming regularly for 11 years (okay 10 if you lose 2020) and I’ve never seen it open and I want the cheeseburger ones like you don’t even know
They ARE good. As a sometime treat. My stomach will hate me later.
