I agree. These rides shouldn’t be part of early opening for that reason.
I didn’t share yet about what I did on arrival day. Check another one off the bucket list because I went to Grand Floridian spa and got the most expensive, er I mean luxurious pedicure ever.
You are led down a cool, relaxing, peppermint scented hall to a lounge where you can change into a robe and relax with some tea or use the sauna and pool. Tea, please!
It was definitely a relaxing experience that I’m very happy I was able to do.
Your picture thingie won’t show up for me
It’s Doc Brown saying “1.21 gigawatts!l
OMG YUCK!!
I thought about this off and on all night. Idk why, but it stuck in my head.
What if they did, though? What if they did delay opening to help distribute traffic around the park? If headliners are consistently down, guest behavior would change, and they would stop rushing to those rides first thing…
The hit to guest satisfaction would not be worth it
I don’t think it’s deliberate
If that were the plan, I think they would / should just announce that e.g., Remy opens at 9am. That would allow people who are gung-ho about it to still line up there, but everyone else could disburse.
I suppose it’s possible though that they just want to suck up a bunch of people in a queue. But I agree that would not be wise from a guest satisfaction perspective. Who knows.
Saw this on another thread. Proof of your point that they will announce it if it’s what they are doing.
I bet they will have a pile of people standing there at 8:30 anyway.
What great timing!
What a fun, spontaneous trip!
We lived! On the drive home now. Couldn’t report live much, too hot and miserable. But I will take hot and miserable as long as it’s at Disney. Yesterday was MK and our most productive day! It was a party day so crowds were light, but honestly crowds were light all week. We could tell it even at the hotel. We rope dropped Starbucks as one should.

We jumped in the hugely long line for 7DMT but it moved the whole time and the wait was minimal. Next was Pooh and Philharmagic with a hop over to Tomorrow Land for Buzz, PM, COP and Monsters.
At Monsters they put me on screen as “someone who has kissed a monster” and then panned to dh and labeled him “monster.” Of course I leaned over and kissed him and we got some awwws from the audience.
Awwwwwwww
I love your trip reports. Any chance you’ll be in the World the first week of December?
I love Monsters Inc. that’s really cute.
Our next planned trip is the week after Thanksgiving.
Doesn’t that run into the first week in December? We don’t have you listed in the December thread.
No, we check in on the 25th and out on the 30th.
