Weekend trip with Mom and Daughter

She’s rocking the nails!

:people_hugging: hope you feel better.

They will. We are speaking it into existence. Rest up.

Crying is beneficial

And really - be ok with whatever your trip brings. Your mom has already had so much enjoyment from this trip. She’ll be so tickled to be in the World.

And if you’re needing to take things a little easier, it might be just the trip y’all need.

Rely on your daughter more, too.

My family once passed around the flu in our house in the week we were departing for a spring break at WDW. As the master planner, I got it last and was very stressed. But someone told me, you’ll probably be good enough to make the trip and enjoy at least some of it, chances are. You don’t have to feel perfect, just good enough.

I hope that thought helps you like it did me; the stress was probably as bad as my symptoms before hearing that. I was still not feeling great the first 24 hours but I wasn’t miserable just had to scale back plans a bit and it still beat being sick at home. By day 2 we were all well and had a great trip. Wishing you a similarly functional trip — and if you feel better than functional that’s just icing on the cake!

Thanks for this.

DH got sick in bed sick on a trip and he was glad to be able be sick at Disney. Much easier to get him interesting fluids to drink from the resort store than at home which involved at least a 15 mile round trip.

And he didn’t mind my touring parks as long as I checked on him during the day.

Plus the tv options were better

Thank you! I appreciate the words of encouragement. I’m home sick from work today but feeling a little better than yesterday!

My sweet sister bought us all of these ears!

Edit to add, most people don’t call her sweet. She’s very loving and giving but she’s the sister you don’t want to mess with :joy:

Sounds like the best kind of sister

Same sister that gave out Disney GC for Mothers Day?

:joy: Yes! She’s really using up all of those points! She did say that she saved some of them for herself.

I love the Death Star ones

If one is inclined to support the dark side, that is.

Well, that’s the dilemma…
Because I also love them, but I’m not inclined to support the dark side :joy:

That’s awesome! My sister goes overboard and buys me all kinds of stuff. I’m her baby sister, so I think she endears me as one of her kids.
Your Mom’s mani is on fleek!

I’m the middle sister. Like Jan on the Brady Bunch, but hopefully less whiny

My mom works in a salon. She does the books/payroll. All the young girls love her and do her hair and nails whenever she wants!

This jan is the oldest and the reason for all the rules.
And the lock on the gate to the backyard.

The lock was the reason I learned how to climb.
