Looks like a lottery

I like to load the dice in my favor with a side trip to Miami … it vaccinates me against Orlando weather vagaries.

Also, no offense, but I kind of hope you feel very cold this trip so that @Wahoohokie and I are comfortable :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Speaking of lottery… my neighbor is on a trip to Seattle right now and other than pics of his hotel the only thing he’s shown my pics of is the slot machines he’s playing at the casino. He’s won just shy of $5k. Craziness.

Lucky neighbor!

Didn’t know Seattle had casinos. Then again, Vancouver has a couple and Seattle is a lot like Vancouver, so I guess it makes sense.

Was wondering if Orlando had casinos… I read there aren’t b/c Disney doesn’t want 'em, and doesn’t have 'em on their cruise ships either.

Only on Seminole reservations. I think the closest to Orlando is the Hard Rock in Tampa.

Lol all of it- seriously though we have needed all of it in January-

Thermal long sleeve undershirt and a short sleeve shirt with a warm weather proof jacket on top. Gloves, ear muffs and scarves. Personally I like wool socks when it’s cold but DHs doubles some thinner ones. When it’s warmer in the day, you have options on which layers to loose. I wouldn’t even consider shorts or tank top, lol.

This is DH :woman_facepalming: He always wins what I lose. The only luck I ever have is at Blackjack and Texas Holdem. But my gambling budget is more pennyslots :joy:

He was waiting at the top of the stairs when I got home tonight. He won over $13k playing slots and had a room comped, food, drinks, and given a $200 voucher to keep playing. First time he’s ever been to a casino. He also won $10k on a NC scratcher a few years ago. He’s a lucky dude.

Now there’s an interesting response, probabilistically speaking! Some statistician came up with a policy of comping slot winners in the hopes they stay longer and give it all back - which is likely enough on paper - hope your neighbor wins even more and foils their plan!

IMO the casino’s not thinking big enough. They should make a social media post out of this - if this person leaves a winner, it will draw in 100 other slot players hoping to cash in

He said it was kind of a spectacle bc both he and his friend were hitting big on their machines and had a crowd gathered around them. That’s the night he got $5k and they both got comped rooms and meals. He was given the voucher the next morning and that’s when he won the $8k. Crazy.

We used to always visit in either December or January. We decided to bring two garments of each season, shorts, long sleeves, etc, etc. and use the laundry. Usually tho, we’d see enough temp change thru the week to wear everything at least once.

One trip it really didn’t warm up enough (high about 72 degrees) for Typhoon Lagoon but we went for a little while.

:flushed: I don’t even own most of this.

I may end up shopping for clothes at WDW in January

You wouldn’t be the first! There is a reason I own not one, but two different fuzzy coats with the DL/WDW logo. They are different colors at least.

Woo hoo! More people to meet in January!!! I’ve not been in January before but have been in December and it ranged from needing jeans and a coat (which I didn’t have so I had multiple long sleeve layers on) to being completely comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt. My kids were nuts enough to always want to swim though, so yay for heated pools on vacation. I’m just happy that we have access to laundry so we can pack various layers and wash as needed… so excited to meet y’all!

I’ve actually realized this year that my jacket selection is severely lacking. But I hate normal clothes shopping so I keep putting off buying more :joy:

WDW clothes shopping sounds much more fun
