We’re making today a special day…

It’s DDs turn for a whirl wind trip, to celebrate turning 14 and going into high school.

Rented DVC points for Poly and it did not disappoint.

After being up at 2:30am, at airport by 4am, flight delay, flight landed around 11. We got to the hotel by 12:30. Dropped bags, had a quick lunch, and went to MK.

The day before I booked the new multi passes for each day. I booked everything for the afternoon and was curious to see availability after.

We had space, buzz, and haunted mansion lined up between 1-3. After tapping into space at 1:45 we got big thunder for 2:45, I was pleasantly surprised with the availability.

But first, going down main street with a bit of wind made it fun with the balloons!

For space, we were literally the only ones in the lightning lane. After space we were already hot, so got some frozen treats. I heard a little girl crying by the plaza ice cream parlour because her ice cream was melting. She was so little and cute but devastated.

Ours from sunshine terrace, no melting here!

We went to haunted mansion, breezed through lightning lane. On the days of genie +, lightning lane would be so backed up before even tapping in. So I guess they’re doing something right with the distribution?

Did 7DMT with lightning lane, the tea cups where her sole purpose was to try to make me sick  we watched Philiharmagic to cool off, then hiked over to big thunder. Every time I’m surprised but that coaster, it’s always better than what I remember.

By then she tells me she was actually awake since 1am because she was too excited to go back to sleep. :flushed: We had already done more than I thought we would on an arrival day, so back to the hotel where our room was ready!

Epcot day next, focused on surprising her with new (for us) character meets and outfits.

We passed out around 9pm last night. Fireworks not too loud and didn’t hear boats. Much quieter than I expected!

This morning started with DD saying “I want to sleep longer” but then on the moni rail “eek I’m so excited!” She didn’t know today’s plan but knew it was special.

Walk from poly to TTC surprisingly quick and easy. Really happy with this choice.

Started the day as Daisy. She was making her purse quack

Soarin as first stop, a family favourite. Then we went to the new character meet right at 9, several people in front already but short wait.

Goofy was the main event for her, great interactions every time.

Mini made a fuss about the daisy purse and ears.

We did guardians, BG2. Got everybody wants to rule the world. We also got in the very front, which was intense when backwards! Loved it!

Next was meet with Asha which she didn’t know about. Only two families in line, mornings for characters are the way to go.

We visited Mexico and Norway and did frozen lightning lane (so fast, again, no one in lightning line!). Started filling out her passport and got her so excited to go around the world.

Got her changed into the new yellow dress, I decided I need to get the purple and blue one because it’s so light and pretty

Character meal surprise up next!

First time at Akershus. I think it trumps CRT in almost every way, except for having to wait in the hot sun to be called for seating.

Glad it was family style and not buffet, but so much food for two people! Did our best not to waste anything, but then the guy came and just dumped refills of everything, and said I believe in you. Told him no more food!!! It was delicious but I wish he hadn’t have brought more.

(Not shown: fruit bowl we instantly devoured)

We had enough time to get settled and well fed before the princesse came. It was a 11:10 breakfast rez, not crowded or noisy or rushed. Really enjoyed it.

Belle came first!

Aurora chose the pink marker over blue, to match her dress

Tiana: don’t go kissing any princes, he might turn into a frog!

Snow White: DD was trying to see if they were the same height. Snow says, you’ll have to stand on sneezy to be a little taller. She stayed and talked the longest, love her. I am going to try to do a cast compliment for a character.

And Ariel rounds it out. I think it’s a great deal for 5 princess.

And her birthday cupcake! So cute, I thought they stopped doing this but maybe it’s at CM discretion.

Breakfast was so fun, I booked it rather last minute and glad I did.

So the Epcot passport was worth it. Made us slow down in each country, got the book stamped, then she placed all the stickers. She loves maps and flags and inspected each one.

It was just. So. Hot. Even with AC every 5mins in each country, lots of ice water and lemonade, large hats and neck fans. We did a relaxed pace for the afternoon since we did all the must dos in the morning. Got a frozen lemonade and frozen iced capp once we passed the UK, didn’t last long enough for a pic.

After Canada we stopped by the Celebrate Encanto thing. It was cute but no seating, just turf and umbrellas. Stayed for two songs then tapped out, but it was very fun and up beat. Had some children come up to help with the Bruno song. Fun but again, no shade.

Headed to moana journey on our way out and SO GLAD we didn’t miss this.

Interacting with the water and being immersed was very fun.

The water musical strings impressed me, you run your hands through the water strands and it made music. Then there was a curtain of water that opened when you walked through. I thought this attraction was just for tiny kids, but no it was great for all.

Dead on our feet, we started to walk out toward the exit. And, she spotted Pluto. Only three families in line so we did it.

She immediately started patting his nose and he stood there and let her take all the time she needed. He then wagged his tail and pretended to howl and just overall showed her he was thrilled with her affection. It was adorable.

This has been the most fun I’ve had at Epcot. I think we finally got the right mix of rides, countries, characters. When we rush through just focusing on rides, it’s exhausting and unfulfilling. Today rivalled a day at magic kingdom

What do you do when you get caught in the rain at the pool? Have a pina colava. Good luck getting the song out or your head now :grinning:

That’s awesome.
It’s my least favorite park. I just rarely ever feel like it was satisfying. I’m so happy you had it figured out!

AK highlights:
“Late” arrival by 8:40. Headed straight fur Everest and rode stand by twice.

Dinosaur was walk on, it’s a family favourite. Then met Moana and finally met Kevin for the first time ever!

Headed to FOP LL and Navi LL.

Kali LL. I jokingly told the CM we didn’t get wet at all, she asked the boat if we wanted to ride again. Umm YES! Wetter second time.

Back to Everest for our third LL.

After tapping into each I was stacking for an afternoon MK line up of Space, Buzz, and big thunder. Didn’t even make it to big thunder, tooo far for end of day :grinning:

We had lunch at AK then headed back to the resort. Swam then rested. Around 4 headed back to MK.

I had BG1 for Tron and was nervous about being so late, but it was no issue at all.

My tinkerbell waiting for the boat:

Sooo hot we didn’t even stop for pics on Main Street, but rode Tron, Space, Astro and Buzz. Pretty good I thought using lightning lanes.

First time having this float, it’s amazing. Back at MK tomorrow and hopefully our paths will cross again.

Another rest in the hotel. I’m definitely not used to all the walking.

Waiting on the beach for fireworks, but I thought I saw lightning so not sure if it’ll start on time.

Either way, pretty great day!
