Gas prices are just so crazy. It makes me think about getting another electric vehicle.

There was a gas station with like $3.18 outside of Calera where my sis and BiL live in Alabama when I was there about a month and a half ago. I wanted to fill up jugs with the gas and bring it back to Nashville with me

The kid in our house - has had a full driver’s license since last September but helloooo, rural 2 lane roads exclusively - thought that contemplating a drive to a suburb of St Louis made perfect sense.
I struggled to figure out how to put that in perspective, in a nice way. Finally figured out a karate reference - like a beginner getting in the ring to spar a black belt.

Ahhh makes sense. Lack of sleep turns 5 hour energy into 2 hour energy quickly. Glad you made it through Atlanta though!

I had my full license for 2 years before I ventured onto a limited access highway. My one experience on a highway during Driver’s Ed was somewhat traumatic (when the instructor yelled “are you trying to fucking kill us”) and I was afraid to ever get on one again until necessity reared its ugly head. This had also been my junior high school guidance counselor who said to me me (when I was complaining about being bullied) “If you weren’t such a pussy maybe they’d leave you alone”

I’m more inclined to think the car is perhaps a bit prissy/particular. Or maybe it’s just really demanding, wants all of your attention on it at all times
