I suppose. I still stand by my opinion that outdoors provides more opportunities for creativity, i.e. Boneyard, may she rest in peace.
Is this indoors? I just quickly searched and it looks like itās outside?
Yep, itās outside!
Put another item on my āreasons to go to Disneylandā list!
Iām so excited about this!!!
Agreed.
Amen.
Yes!
Yeeeesssss!!! HS needs a daytime parade so badly!
Curious about what will happen to the Star Wars meet and greets. Iām particularly fond of the Disney Visa Vader interaction.
Now it makes sense that Disney did that backstage tour with bloggers last month. The inside of this building is ![]()
Wait, did we do this on the trip?
No it was closed for refurb I think.
I hope not. My teen girls spent some time in the imagination pavilion remembering all the things they used to play with in there. Play is so important.
From the article:
Hereās hoping Imagineers are already working on Gatto-land, and weāre treated to our first immersive area at Walt Disney World featuring feral cats.
Sign me up!!!
I think there will also be a short film playing inside.
I think this is likely since it says āOur youngest animators-to-beā
Youngest could just mean kids.
I canāt imagine it being just for babies/crawlersā¦can you imagine the germs?
That was the line that worried me!
No, prob not babies but toddlers and preschoolers are more likely. I bet the target age range is 2-5 just based on being next to the Disney junior show.
I like this, but ā¦
Does this mean we are losing the BB-8, Darth Vader and Chewbacca meet and greets? I hate when we lose an attraction in order to make way for a new attraction, especially one that is popular like these meet and greets. The meet and greets donāt fit the SW:GE timeline, but maybe they could be relocated to somewhere near ST (like the former Jedi Training area).
Regarding the meet and greets⦠thereās a whole ājedi templeā not being used right now. Itād make a suitable replacement(and finally utilize the space since they refuse to bring back the coolest thing to do at HS)
I would agree with you, except Disney has been intermixing timelines in SWGE themselves lately. So, Iād say they arenāt opposed to the idea.
However, my bigger issue would be that having āmeet and greetsā would spoil the immersive nature of SWGE. You are supposedly transported to Batuuā¦actually there (during whatever time Disney wants to consider it)ā¦and why would the characters themselves have āmeet and greetsā while at Batuu? Wandering the land as part of the experience is one thing, but having a meet and greet would transform SWGE into a theme park replication, rather than being immersive. Do they do ANY meet and greets in SWGE today? I think the closest is that they have a Grogu/Mando meet and greet, but thatās not IN SWGE, but rather as you are about the enter it.
