Vegas Recommendations

Going to be in Vegas for a work trip, looking for recommendations on some things to do after work hours, I already am planning a visit to Meow Wolf, would like to see Penn & Teller, but they are not performing during my visit.

Considering the Sphere, but the Wizard of Oz show doesn’t really look that phenomenal. Interested in Fly Over only because I’m a Rick Rothschild fan, I doubt my coworkers are interested. Will suggest a walk through of the themed hotels.

Any other suggestions?

I’m always a fan of Blue Man Group. Also if you’re a fan of immesrive theater check this out: Oddyssey Manor | Immersive Cocktail Theater in Las Vegas

I would definitely recommend seeing a Cirque show!

That’s the other thing I would like to do. I think O isn’t on unfortunately. I think Ka might be. Do you have a favorite?

That looks interesting, I was wondering if there was anything like Adventurers Club going on. It’s a cool concept.

I think O has a slight edge on Ka but I loved Ka so definitely check that out if you can!

We tried the one at New York, New York, Mad Apple, and it was cool, but very different.

O is very good, I would say Ka, is my favorite though. They did have to redo a scene due to the death of a performer and the changes to the scene make it much safer but also it takes away from the climax of the whole show so it was absolutely mind-blowing before the (the very necessary) change. But it’s still amazing.

When are you going? When I go every year in March it always feels like everything is closed!

If you like Beverly/Club Cool there is a (paid) experience to taste sodas around the world at the Coke Store. We love parking at the MGM and then walkthough through it to both the M&M and Coke worlds. But I also love Coca-Cola and the color red so it’s like a pilgrimage for me to visit the Coke store and have at least one (glass bottled Mexican Sugar Cane) Coke.

Later this month, just a quick trip, so just trying to see a couple things after work hours.

This is a good one thanks, I’ll keep that in mind if we are in that area.

My absolute favorite thing I did in Vegas this summer (besides seeing the Backstreet Boys at the Sphere which you can’t do right now) was going to the Mob Museum. It was fantastic.

I also think Universal opened a Horror Nights place in Vegas. If that’s your kind of thing! I don’t have any experience with it though.

We saw Ka and it was quite an amazing production. That moving stage is unreal!

Oh my, I must have missed that.

It’s been a long time (I just looked it up and it was 2013 so not quite as long as I was thinking, but just about).

You can’t go wrong with either O or Ka. I like them both. I haven’t seen Mystere yet; that’s on the list for next time we go. If you want to see a magic show, but P&T are dark I’d recommend Piff.

If you’re a drinker then also check out Golden Tiki off the strip.

Thanks all for the recommendations. I didn’t get a chance to do as much as I hoped, but I’ll probably be back again this year. Going to save all the recommendations.
