Yay!!

Oh no, this is terrible news for my trip in early July! That seems really short notice to change just a month before arrival.

I think this isn’t even the first time they have dropped the express pass line on Hagrid’s. I’m pretty sure it had express pass pre-Covid. They dropped the express pass line after reopening from Covid and took a long time before they restored it. Now they’ve dropped it again. I think the problem is that people with Express Pass unlimited were riding it multiple times. This caused both the express pass line and the standby line to back up. I think limiting Express Pass Unlimited to just one ride on Hagrid’s would have been a good compromise, but that’s not the way they chose to do it.

I have no plans to come to Uni again but I would approve of this!

Isn’t this true for every ride?

Think of the people that got a private tour and just went round and round and round Hagrid’s. There aren’t many rides where that would seem attractive. Only thing that kept us from doing that our first trip was the excessive cost. If we’d had unlimited EP’s we’d have probably done about 5 in a row each day. As it was, we rode it each of the 5 days we had one-use EP’s and a few times in standby our last trip. There was at least one day that Hagrid’s was the reason we went to that park when we had EP’s. We did other things while there but that was the motivator. There are other awesome rides, and we all adore Velicoaster and Stardust, but two rides back-to-back might be too much.

Yes but since Hagrid’s is so popular already the increase is untenable.

DD and I rode VC 3 times in a row during EE one morning before the line backed up too much.
We could’ve done more :laughing::laughing::t_rex::t_rex:

Can anyone who has used a purchased EP pass lately let me know the best way to store your tickets and EP for kids without a phone?

Can I print just the barcode and have that on a lanyard, or do they insist on seeing the entire EP pass?

Do you put tickets on your phone / Universal account?

When I was there in April, I went to the ticket counter at Aventura. They were able to print out a card ticket and a card express pass from my email that I was able to put in my lanyard.

Ah that sounds great. I will probably do that as well when we arrive at Helios (next Sunday!)

If they are mobile tickets, I have been told they cannot print them out. Others have had better luck. I haven’t had the “will call” option (that did allow them to print tickets) in 2026.

When I received my email, I had the electronic tickets in my wallet and I received a PDF. I printed PDFs of the express (I only had them for Epic) and we put them in our lanyards. I was almost always scanned in through facial recognition, although one time a TM insisted on also see a photo ID with my express.

The electronic tickets were in my Universal app. The printed out tickets then changed the barcode/numbers, so the ones on my app became void. I took a picture of my newly printed tickets to have on my phone in case something happened to the physical tickets, but it was much easier having everything in the lanyard since I didn’t take my phone with me in every ride depending on where the lockers were.

Yes, someone on chat reported that too.

My experience has been that twice they have refused to convert my electronic tickets to printed tickets. I must just have bad luck.

When you printed your PDFs, did you print the entire ticket or just the barcode?

I printed the whole thing and then folded. A couple of years ago I had printed at home and one TM insisted on seeing the whole page. Of course the night before a TM said we should all just use screen shots. (My bad luck, again).

This happened to me as well in January at Aventura. I would have printed them out at home if I had known they were going to refuse. So all 4 were on my phone and it was a pain, though luckily the facial recognition worked most of the time so we didn’t have to show the barcode.

There is a report on TP’s Universal chat that Team Members are enforcing a new rule that retractable lanyards are no longer allowed on mandatory locker attractions.
