Universal Orlando News & Planning Thread

Awesome. The park itself looks like it is going to be very spread out and efficient. Looking forward to it

They have already started decorating inside the shops at IOA. Exterior decorating should start any time now.

Tours and packages do historically come out around now as well. Hopefully, they’ll say something this week! :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

I would say it’s worth it just for the novelty! I like it better than RPR.

In the midst of Epic planning, I also panic-booked a November (2024) trip. Sharing since I just told @ParkRanger to book HRH.

We (me, DS13) will “use up” our annual passes on this trip. Two nights at Aventura, one night at HRH. No priorities other than the standard: Hagrid’s as many times as possible and E.T. at least once. Hoping to see some Xmas decor, speaking of that. This is partly a makeup for last December when DS was ill for most of the trip, and partly a much needed break from real life after Hurricane Helene (Asheville is home), and partly just because I wanted to and DS13 said fine.

I saw someone send them a tweet asking them if they realized Grinchmas was a month away and asking about tours and breakfast. They replied that when it is announced it will be on their website. That does not help!

You enabled yourself too!

It’s like they don’t even want (more of) my money.

I figured out the problem.

They hadn’t seen that you were booked, and knowing your notoriety about sticking to plans (or lack thereof), they weren’t really concerned about the timing of such announcements.

So, really, it is your fault.

According to Reddit, there should be a path, but it probably won’t have Pedestrian fly overs, etc until later. It looks to be roughly a 1 mile walk, so not short!

That’ll be on par with the walk from Cabana Bay to IoA.

It’s a lovely walk with beautiful foliage though. Hopefully the new path will be landscaped as nicely :crossed_fingers:t3:

Most of Reddit thinks there isn’t a dedicated path, yet. But eventually I bet there is a really nice one. It is so close to the convention center, they will want people to have options!

Aha, just now seeing that the official UOR site lists a walking path among the amenities for Stella Nova:

But, interestingly, not for Terra Luna:

I shared this same video like a week ago in the thread talking about the lack of announcements for Disney Christmas events.

Woo hoo! I hope you love it! I think you will.

I don’t really want to book any of the Christmas upsells, I just want to know what they are. I did the Holiday Tour in 2022. It was … fine. But I wouldn’t do it again.

The Grinch breakfast could tempt me.

The photos appear to have sidewalk access from one to the other…thinking its like the OKW to SSR nature trail.

This may help me decide my accommodations for my Epic trip.

My budget suggests that I should stay at ES, but a week there fills me with feelings of disappointment, and the rate for my week is high. CBR and Aventura are not that much more. And are the same as SN/TL. But CBR and Aventura offer upgrades that I like (Volcano Bay view and Skyline view, respectively) which obviously increases the cost yet higher.

If all goes to plan tomorrow, I will have three days in Epic, which will be the most of any of the parks. So a walking path there is very attractive. And SN/TL are new and exciting I suppose. Universal (well, Loews) ranks them above ES. Though why?

Right now a split stay is out because there are no AP rates for my dates and you only get a decent discount on a 7 night stay.
