Universal Orlando News & Planning Thread

There have been so many vloggers with very different opinions. Some love it, some hate it. (Based on the video title) :man_shrugging:

Yeah that’s the first spoiler video I saw too.

Just checking before I watch @ryan1 's link. Do you mean spoiler-free??

No. It is not spoiler free. My point was I wouldn’t reveal spoilers here…but the video shows exactly what happens on the attraction. It is why I know I have virtually no interest in it…because I saw what it actually was like.

Oh. I completely misunderstood!!
Glad I didn’t watch it

I think it looks pretty neat, assuming they get the kinks worked out of it and can keep it running smoothly. I’m definitely more on the “likes video games” end of the spectrum though.

Agree. And enjoying shooting guns helps too. :grinning:

The best spoiler free review I saw was that it’s like Buzz Lightyear Spin, but standing and with screens.

Please don’t correct me or something if that’s incorrect. I’ll find out in person soon enough!!

They did have it up and running by midday today for guests

The guy from Poseidon Entertainment on YouTube hated it. But he hates everything.

This is exactly what I expected from the description, no interest from me either.

I did, to a point…but…

I expected the actual game play of it to be more tied to the Villain Con concept, and not just some seemingly random scenes unrelated to the conference. I expected the game play to be more purposeful, ala TSM, and not a frenetic free-for-all that it appears to be. And to have us, as the folks with the blasters, just calmly standing there as if this is no big deal to have all this stuff going on around us undermines the experience even more.

I had more expected that the moving sidewalk would take you through the Villain Con exhibits where you could try your hand at a variety of “evil” experiences. Instead, you’re shooting at the bad guys?

But…that’s just me.

I think it sounds enjoyable enough! Whether or not I “ride” will be determined by how long the wait is. It seems like it has the potential for high capacity… so I’ll eagerly be watching wait times when it officially opens.

Yeah… They’ve been tearing apart JPRA for the last couple months too. They don’t acknowledge that everything was working before the Sept. hurricane last year. It’s taking forever to get the parts & etc… from overseas to repair. Instead it’s clickbait headlines like… “JPRA has been left to ROT!!”

I’ve never heard of Gabby’s Dollhouse.

The rest sounds fun.

Any speculation about a rough date?
