Is this your final top?
I will start by sharing my Yeti story: there were two teenagers in line in front of us. One was chatting with us the whole 15 minute or so wait. The other one was quiet. I thought they were with the couple in front of them- they were not. My guess is they were about 13. We started into Yeti and the quiet one froze in front of me about 1/3 of the way in. He panicked and started to try to leave through the entrance- that was not going to happen. I spent the rest of the house talking him through, blocking every scare, protecting him. I got him through. It was a very different experience, and good- but I can’t rank it.
I would flip Universal Monsters and Exorcist as #1 and #2 and Darkest Deal is my #3. We did Stranger Things twice and I felt both times they were missing scare actors.
Oh! More MNSSHP… I got my photos! Here’s a few… I will make more time for photos and characters at MVMCP!
Love these! ![]()
Yes!
You are so sweet!! I feel for them, but at the same time… You know what you are doing! It’s just pretend!

By the end of my trip, I was missing all the Yeti scares… Really bad luck! However, Darkest Deal would get me every time - even my last nights when I “knew” all the scares… I could rank it #2 now. I’ll leave it where it is…
My first run through Stranger Things was so empty and the lights were up brighter… I feel bad for people that only get one run through each house. It can be a real gamble! I’ve even had “meh” runs through Exorcist. It happens when all the scares where mistimed or the actors were on break. (It’s kinda “unfair” they still run the houses with only 1/2 or less of the actors in them at break times.)
The second run through ST was so much better! Event the third time it was good. That’s how it went from #10 to #7
You can see how the night started…

How it ended…

A lot of you may have already seen my post in the December Liner Meet thread…
DD has chosen not go as her exam schedule is so uncertain as this is her final year.
I am going to go as planned 12/1 - 12/6. However, I will be going to the Jollywood Nights event on 12/4 to join in on the Liner Meet-Up.
We skipped DHS on a couple of family trips. It was under construction a lot back then! I haven’t seen TSL in person, not to mention Galaxies Edge!
I’m scheduled to go to Disneyland Feb. 2025. I want as many things there to still be “new to me”. If MMRR and RotR are offered I may skip them. I’m definitely going to see the Millennium Falcon at night and try a Ronto Wrap before they close that day.
I’m still a Universal Addict for sure! I’m enjoying these WDW side trips as they are parties that require very little planning. I admit that using my Disney Visa Points to go “for free” is the biggest motivator. Before I’m done I will have spent at least $700 on three nights of WDW. Using the points makes it feel like there’s less pressure as well…
MMRR has a much better queue in DL, so that could be a good reason to wait. Also, MMRR motion can bother a few (not many) people, so I’d hate for that to spoil your Jollywood time. Unless you’re not ever bothered by motion and want to do it as “research” for the DLR trip? ![]()
I am anxious to see this event. I had a blast at the DHS Moonlight Magic event, thanks to @TwilightatDisney , but the idea of Christmasifying it sounds delightful. Mt wife and I are already starting planning our 2025 December trip, and are looking at possibly doing both Jollywood and MVMCP. (Of course…that is still two more years away, so who knows!)
It’s odd they haven’t finalized all the information yet.
I’m very excited for TSL, especially at night! I hope TP will let me make a plan for it.
LOL… I was just talking about this w/ @mathhound
I’m glad you enjoyed it. DH and I have Jollywood tickets in November. I’m looking forward to that.
Now that I’m “back to normal” after such a long trip… I can’t find my Death Eaters mask!!! Uuggghhh!! I’ll have to triple check my bags and make sure it didn’t get mixed in with my parents gifts…
All that work to exchange it after seeing them cheaper at the garage sale for, possibly, nothing… oh well!
(It was super uncomfortable to wear, but I was gonna pad it…
)
I hope you find it!!
I checked all my bags, last night, with no luck! I was so tired by the end of the trip! Now, that I’m “back to normal” I can’t recall ever prepping it to take home in my luggage. (Wrapping it up or putting it in a shoe box.)
If I have to wager, I bet I left it on the table at Aventura when I did the hotel swap to CBBR…
No big deal! I confess, if it had been more comfortable to wear, I’d be more upset. Besides, they had so many on had that they were dumping them at the garage sale for $8. They even made a large Death Eaters window display in CityWalk with them. I bet if a truly want one, I’ll be able to get it again in December! (maybe they’ll be on sale by then!)
Does Universal have a good lost and found system like WDW? Time to test it out!
I thought about calling. I have heard people say that they’ve gotten wands & hats returned to them. IMHO - if I was going to do that I should’ve done it a day or two after I got home. It feels odd 2+ weeks later to ask if they’ll send me a replacement.
@trnickell27 - My apologies, but I’ve forgotten your dates! Aren’t you going / gone around now?? I’d LOVE to hear your thoughts. (Did I miss a TR??)
@StinsyLinson - I got an e-mail that my “eBay Item” has shipped this morning. I confess… I was like, “WTH??”"… Turns out after a few drinks on Friday night I found a new mask on eBay for like $15 with free shipping. I guess “Wizard Larry” really wanted that mask after all!

Hahaha, our tipsy selves always know what our heart desires.
This is hilarious. Oh, and you’re going to end up with two masks.
There could be worse things!!!
In hindsight, I can “almost” see, in my memory, where I left the original at Aventura.
(Am I going to admit it to DW…idk…
… probably gonna just “find” this one!!
)
