The audience makes a huge difference. It’s funny how similar it is in that way to a real concert despite not being “real”.

I only count the work days myself! When I leave the office the evening before my trip I already consider myself “on vacation”!!

Hey everybody!
I got back after 9pm last night. My flight was a little delayed, my luggage was truly the last off the plane & the pizza I ordered on the way home took longer too! 
Had dinner while chatting with DW, got the worst of the dirty laundry out of my bags, got cleaned up and then crashed in my own bed!!
Nothing “crazy” happened while I was away at home or work. (I set-up both places for success)
The amount of things that are broken, damaged or missing around the office is stupid! 
It’s like having 100 teenage children that trash the house while you left! (I’m still putting things together)
Here’s my quick “final thoughts” about HHN, MSSHP and UOR in general…

Express Pass is almost necessary at HHN unless you truly can not put it in your budget. Otherwise, you’ll do 4- 5 houses per night (unless you only focus on houses & literally nothing else). Don’t miss Nightmare Fuel!!
If you are going two or more nights - a multiple night pass is probably your best choice. -
MNSSHP is great! I believe this to be because of the lack of G+ / ILL. I wish they’d double the price to cut about 33% of the people. Shows in the hub are amazing, but having that many people in one space is awful. I’m excited for MVMCP, but for fireworks I will make sure I’m in that area 30+ minutes early. There’s so much to do! If there was a multi-night MNSSHP ticket I’d get it!

Aventura is everything I wanted in a hotel at UOR. I can’t think of higher praise. I want to make it my new “home” hotel. I’d be willing to pay $150 - $160 per night with no issues. So far, I have stayed there for $115 for a single night and $103 for 10 nights. Booking 120 - 100 nights in advance for the best UOR rates.

11.5 days at, basically, just UOR is a bit too much - even for me. Previously, the most days I had ever done was 9. On this trip, the last couple of days / nights were great (in there own way). I would stroll around, like a local, with no pressure as I’d already done everything many times. (Houses / Shows / Rides) I’d wear my headphones & play my own music and podcasts while waiting or walking. I went o VB three times and after all these trips FINALLY feel like I know my way around without a map. It’s great, but the layout can be so confusing at times!
I’m definitely not sick of it UOR. However, I missed my family and home Sunday & Monday A LOT. In hindsight, I should’ve arrived on Sat. (instead of Thurs.) and departed on Sunday (instead of Monday) However, MNSSHP and Liner meets really helped make the trip “seem” not as long.
My Grinchmas / Birthday trip is scheduled for 5 - 10 days - depending on DD’s schedule. I bought my MVMCP tickets already & that’s “locked” me into a date for that. I love Grinchmas & all the holiday décor and festivities, but without “10 HHN houses” or something “new” like that many attractions are still fresh in my mind. I don’t think I need such a long trip so soon… 
I’ve tried to find a decent hotel price for a shorter stay, but nothing even comes close to the rate I got at booking six nights 120 - 100 days in advance. It’s hard to take a trip from 5 - 6 nights down to 4 nights knowing it’s going to cost $300 - $400 more!
There’s still plenty of time to plan all that!!
This is really the best time to unload ANY questions about UOR / MNSSHP / HHN / Volcano Bay as it’s still fresh in my mind!
For better or worse, here I am!! The reality of going to a “job” hit me in the face at about 9:30pm last night! Retirement is still a long way off, but I’m looking forward to keeping my own schedule one day!!

That was an epic trip! I went to WDW last April for basically 9 nights (flew on a red-eye through the first night and then 8 nights in hotels), and that was a little long for me.
I am dreaming of retirement and it’s still at at least four years away! I’ll probably need to work still, but I can start drawing my pension and just do something for fun. And go to WDW for two weeks if I want!

I’ve got 17 more! I tell my coworkers I’ll be spending 17 more Christmas’ with them. It sounds more festive & less like a prison term!!

DW did know and was very supportive. Emily wanted advice about how to ask me and to also make sure Mom was OK with it. (DW’s lack of interest in dealing with bio-dad was the only obstacle, but that’s no longer an issue with Emily being 21. Emily just wanted to make sure it was the only reason.)

We have completed all houses. We are doing Stranger Things and Exorcist right now. I think maybe we should have done the right side last night?
Hagrid’s was down until afternoon so that was a no go. I don’t think we will be able to do that in the morning but we will be back in 62 days.

I know that’s crazy, but it’s only 59 days away!!
This got me looking over my MNSSHP costs to plan for MVMCP…
I used my Disney Visa Reward points.
The ticket was $165 w/ tax
I spent an additional $75 for a ILL for Tron, T-Shirt, Funnel Cake w/ Soda, Hot Dog w/ Treat and Soda
I’m not going to do a ILL this time so I’ll save $20. I haven’t decided on merch yet.
I want DD to go to Grinchmas. She didn’t’ get to go last year. Plus, having just done 8 days totally alone at UOR was extraordinary, but by the last day I was a bit “lonely”.
This next trip is 5 days solo - as planned. That’s a bit more alone time than I need so soon! (Even at my favorite places)
If she can’t go I am probably going to the Liner Meet at Jollywood Nights. That’ll be fun with friends!
