Country Bear Jamboree is my MUST DO before the party closes. Not sure I can squeeze in both - especially with how “hardcore” I’ve heard about TMs enforcing the return time at Tron with no sympathy if you are late
The ILL window is 1 hour so if you can snag a 5pm ILL you should be fine. You just have to enter that line by 5:59 to be safe. There is no way it is going to take you 2 hours to tap into MK, go to CBJ, wait the longest wait (1 show length), watch 1 show, walk over to Tron and tap in for ride. The only way this wouldn’t work is if you got to MK much later than the RD plan you have. The CBJ show is 16 minutes. 4 mins tops for loading and unloading the benches.
I think you will be just fine. Just get that ILL as early as possible. And even if you have to get a 4:00 - 5:00 ILL, you could reverse order.
Yeah… I’ll be over at UOR. I don’t have much planned that day. I’m gonna do all the big flume / water rides in the morning at IOA and leave before lunch. I was hoping to snag a ILL while I was still over at UOR
The “where” doesn’t matter, it’s the time (official park opening) and hoping they still have ILL available for that time. I haven’t been following the data on when ILL run out, but I sure hope it works for you! Either that, or find a Liner that can add you to their room (theoretically) so it’s check-in or check-out day for you, and you can book at 7:00 a.m.
That’s probably gonna dictate my night. If I can get one for 5pm - 6pm that will make me the most comfortable. I’d rather miss Tron than CBJ this time - if I don’t get there by 6pm. Not saying I won’t grab a 4pm - 5pm if that’s the only option, just not my preference…
I fear they might close the show earlier to clear guests out of MK for the party…
Right now… (and we all know everything can change based on emotion!)
I’ll try for a ILL before the party. If not available, Tron may have to wait for some future visit.
I know they’re dumb & old animatronics, but I’ve been denied going to CBJ for so long that it’s got more “hype” for me than an new coaster!!
I really can’t imagine going to WDW without experiencing it once per trip. I do love it. It’s a little run down but for me it’s nostalgic. My Granny LOVED this show. We would watch it a couple times a day.
My groups have always been - “We’re here for rides!!” or “We come from Tennessee! Why do you want to see hillbilly bears when he have real hillbillies at home!”
I’ve also never been to Hoop-Dee-Doo Review because of the latter as well!
(We just left people like this at home! Why do you want to see more of it!!)
I’m thinking and going to test it out buying an ILL for pre-party time so something b/w 4 and 7 pm. I think I saw in some other post that this works. What day are you doing MNSSHP? We’re going 10/29.
I’m there on Tues. 9/19… I have a night on a 10 day Universal / HHN trip available to hop over there for a party! I am excited…that’s why I’m so anxious!
I’m sure once people start going in a couple weeks and we hear more about how it is operating I’ll feel even better… (Aug. 11 is the first party)
If I didn’t have two “must do” things it would be easier! I’m feeling better now that I’ve gotten some feedback!
Me too! I have the HHN express pass. It gets you Express for both the houses & rides. I will definitely do it as much as I can if that’s possible each night!
I would absolutely do Tron! Even at the risk of not doing CBJ! I had never seen CBJ and finally did it this last trip and it was fine, but if I had done that instead of Tron, I would have had instant buyer’s remorse.
I mean, you should have appropriate expectations. It is short, as others have said. But the sensation of flying through the air with the greatest of ease is rapturous. It’s a little different from Hagrid’s (which is a better ride all things considered, don’t get me wrong).
Getting an ILL would be my number one recommendation. The official return window for both VQ and ILL is one hour from when your boarding group is called (I think it says something like, “return by X o’clock,” which is one hour after you first get that message). But we have data to suggest you will get green taps and they will let you in up to two hours after your boarding group is called.
So if your boarding group or ILL is called at 5pm, you will definitely be allowed in up until 6pm and probably be allowed in up until 7pm, unless they close the queue for the party. After 7pm you would almost certainly be turned away unless you had a really convincing sob story and / or a receipt from a dinner reservation (CMs have told people to bring a receipt if their return time conflicts with an ADR.
Also yeah, just go to TDR where they do multiple versions of Country Bear Jamboree (the have a summertime version and a christmas version and the regular) and they are all full length like Walt Intended! Plus the building queue and exit look adorable. They have multiple theaters so can move you thru the line faster too I believe.
