TP Website Redesign - Create a Touring Plan

I agree, it can be terrible. But it only takes a minute to get recent average return time info like this, which is very helpful:

The new design reminds me of MDE  but also…

Anyone else struggling with the new layout of the Dashboard? I can’t remember what it looked like exactly before, but I believe the basic trip information was just at the top. Now it’s taking up half the screen, making the rest of the information have to be squished on the right. And having the predicted crowd level as the largest bit of info is making it hard for me to decipher which date I’m looking at. My eye is just drawn to that giant number. I’m sure I’ll get used to it all, but it’s definitely going to take some time!

Here’s what the Dash looked like

Hmm, maybe it seems so different because all the font is so big now?

It looked different on mobile too. I would have to scroll down to see some of those boxes.

Weird wrapping issue on the dashboard, desktop version

Both trips have the same title “Family Trip June 2024 Part 1” (or Part 2), and the same spacing. When viewed just as the trip itself, not with details, it looks fine (see Part 2 here). But when you click on the trip to view the details, it wraps weirdly.

NBD but thought you’d like to know.

Breaks are still limited to 120 minutes
DAS times still won’t let you set them for early hours, ex AK opens at 8 am so EE is 7:30 am the earliest DAS time to add in the Advanced settings is 8 am. It’s been 7 days I since I brought these issues to TPs attention in this thread.

Today, at least, the loading issue for evaluated and optimize seems to be better, I haven’t had to reload the page to get results. ETA: had a problem with Epcot and needing to reload the page for times to be shown.

ETA: Jollywood STILL has not been added to TP this was brought to attention more than a week ago. There have been 3 Jollywood parties so far and at this rate they don’t seem to be a priority to TP and likely will be over before they decide to add them. If other old issues were getting taken care of this wouldn’t be something I keep mentioning, not NONE of the 3 issues that are at least a week old have been dealt with. I realize there has been a holiday in the meantime but that’s something to consider before releasing a new website live the week before said holiday.

I thought Len said it wasn’t a priority for this year, because there are other higher priorities for now. So I wouldn’t hold your breath on Jollywood.

I know but it’s a high priority to me, a paying subscriber, so I’m going to keep bringing it up. As I said, it wouldn’t be as big of deal if the other things that where supposed to be a priority a week ago had been done.

Your plan should be pretty easy: see one of the shows, see the other show, in between grab a snack and a cocktail, meet your favorite character, ride one ride, see Jingle Bell Jingle Bam

They need data before they can offer you information in the form of a touring plan. To my knowledge they have never failed to offer that once there is data to work with. Three nights isn’t enough. One season may or may not be enough.

Hang in there.

I know, and thank you. However, you can’t even set the hours to be the correct event times. Yes I have the same amount of time 3 pm to 8 pm set but it’s frustrating. I would love to set the time correctly to have the night end at 12:30 am.

I understand they need to collect data to do accurate wait times etc. and the first year you can’t do that. However, is the best option for your customers to act like Jollywood doesn’t exist? :woman_shrugging: I can manually put attractions in if I need to. Which is sort of what I’ve done but with time shifted. But I don’t like to have the time not be the right time. That bothers me…A…LOT. (Probably similar to when someone does not follow the rules and it bothers you.) It messes with my feeling organized.

Also, as I’ve stated now multiple times, if other higher priority things (that I am aware of) were getting dealt with I could feel better about the lack of Jollywood information. I specifically checked those other issues before posting.

I did and did appreciate that the DAS return time initial problem was fixed so quickly a week ago.

I agree. It’s really awful and I despise that dropdown menu on the home page. Having difficulty finding information that was easier to do on the original site. I’m seriously considering not renewing my subscription.

I noticed the issue with breaks being limited to 2 hours last week, but didn’t mention it since I saw you had and that Len had acknowledged it. Hoping that gets fixed soon, but for now, I’m using two 120 breaks back to back to get my plan to recognize my 4 hour break.

Also, if Len comes back to this thread, I reduced the font size of the Touring Plans dashboard on my computer down to 67% to make it a comfortable size again where I could see most of the info in my plans on the same screen. If there were a way to make something around that size the default for computer browsers, I think that would be ideal.

I haven’t checked in to this thread for a while. Are you still all using the new “prototype” version? I still can’t get into that, neither my email or new or old username work (@len suggested using my old user name but that still won’t let me in).

Or have the changes now been rolled out to the regular site?

Rolled out.

Several of the changes that were prototyped haven’t been rolled out yet. So, there are still more changes to come.

Oh well, I’ll just need to leave the testing to you lot then!

My bad, I was referring to the new website being “live” not necessarily the new features. I’m still waiting on the new website to have the old features much less any prototype ones.

I meant prototyped changes, including ones discussed here. I don’t mean new prototype features.

For example, the Home screen still shows the large Log Out, and little D for the Dashboard…but we saw a prototype where this was changed. It hasn’t been rolled out yet.
