TouringPlans for new LLMP & LLSP

My DD13 would appreciate the early morning Rick Roll

I think a warning would be better than the system just failing to allow my plan to continue. I had that challenege several times while in the parks and I finally figured out it was because I was doing something the rules rejected. Knowing the system’s rules would have worked too.

Just a warning.
Also, I’m assuming we will still be able to manually enter LL return times. Will there be a warning for this as well?

I do the same thing. We’re not slow walkers but I don’t want to plan in bathroom breaks or popping into a shop.

Did you just quietly rickroll this whole thread and all of its participants??? :smiling_imp:

Thanks to you and your team for getting this ready so quickly! That is a heavy lift. Sounds like the updates will have some great features that will make planning more seamless.

Anyone else get a message to update MDE to take advantage of the LL changes? Did not expect the update to go in this early.

I’ve see that mentioned on other sites. But given how well today has gone for other software things, I think I’ll wait a while.

I updated, really didn’t notice a difference.

Given the emails that went out by mistake and this update, I think if I have a trip with a 7 day mark over the next couple days I would be nosing around the app to see if I could purchase anything at 7 am…doubt it, but never hurts to look.

Thank you, Len, to you and your team! Amazing to have all this ready on Day 1.

I am one of the Poor Unfortunate Souls who just so happens to have their annual trip coincide with this ball drop. Our first park day is 7/24. :smiling_face_with_tear: I’m not quite sure how, but I’ll need to be booking LLMPs for MK & DHS later in our trip at 7am on my way to RD at AK…with 5 kids, including special needs.

I never ponied up for G+ before (and in fact skipped park tickets last year on our trip to save money) but it’s been sounding like the way things are now you have to get LLMP if you want to do the big things you’re paying all the money for park tickets for - especially when spreading out the park visits to every 2 years as we are now.

Question: I’m sorry if this was already answered, @len, but will I be able to use the touring plans I’m in the process of making? Will existing TPs be compatible with the changes on 24 July?

I’m feeling an FAQ post needs to be made with Len’s answers. (Or put at the top of this thread).

PS. @cory1079, Welcome!

If you need to cross the park to save 10 minutes more with a “preferred” Lightning Lane reservation, did you really win?

This!

“Break.” Pretty sure it has something to do with sports and dancing …

Yes. You may see some new screen options related to LLMP on July 24. But the changes are mostly on the back-end optimization code. No need to re-create your plans.

And thank you!

Thank you @len and your team for reacting so quickly to the changes.

We should have most of this support in later today. Some of it is just ensuring all the back-end stuff works.

Interestingly, it looks like you can overlap LLMPs by at least 20 minutes. I’d heard the limit was 15.

Not sure if that 20-minute value is intentional. If anyone can overlap by more, please let me know.

This is from today…

It really forces you to not have overlapping ride times with meals and doesn’t like to give more than 10 minutes of overlap.

You can go back & modify to get what you actually want, but it’s a pain. Still better than 7am day of! (IMHO)
