Have you not heard that in our universe there are no other sites! Especially that one that begins with dis…and ends with board…they do not exist!

I’m sure that’s not true.

I say we form an elite clique of people who’ve done the WAT and form a secret forum and sneer about the people who haven’t done it behind their backs. We’ll call them No-Trekkers and treat them like Muggles. Whoops wrong theme park.

Yes. That does not exist. Have never been there, if it does. Definitely do not listen to any podcasts associated therewith.

You’d be surprised. The internet was made for people like me. We don’t do well in the real world.

Actually I find that there are many of us who are far more outgoing ā€œbehind the screenā€ than in real life. I am positively hilarious once I get comfortable with people, but in new situations I am very quiet and shy to the point of coming off as standoffish. I have anxiety about things like parties and other such gatherings; I’m fine once I’m there and find someone to latch onto for the night, but until then I get in a very foul mood and don’t want to go at all.

It’s easy to be more outgoing behind the screen. There’s safety in relative anonymity. I bet many of us are more alike than different here in that way.

I apologize if I’ve said anything that made you think I was denigrating you. I actually admire the great detail you have achieved. I thought I was doing well by changing plans the night before and bringing a printer to reprint my plans. I have nothing but respect for that kind of project planning.

And make no mistake, anyone, it is project planning. You’ve done wonders to maximize your vacation. You’ve explored every option, not just taken what was in front of you first. You’ve analyzed it to be sure you’ll be able to relax, knowing you’ve planned the best vacation for your needs.

I applaud all your work and I have enjoyed that you had a great sense of humour about it all. That’s not easy, particularly in times of stress, as last week was for you.

So if I’ve said anything that’s hurt your feelings or otherwise made you feel disrespected, I’m sorry. I wish you the very best on your trip and I am looking forward to reading about it when you return.

All the best to you.

Honestly — no need to at all.

As I said, I live on my own, and I don’t have any family, so sometimes I get into a ā€œme against the worldā€ type mentality.

I’m really looking forward to the fact that my upcoming trip is solo. I’m a massive control freak (who would have guessed?) and I love the fact I’ll be able to do exactly what I want.

I have wondered about (deliberately) meeting other Liners during the trip. I don’t know how I’d feel about that. I’m not sure what I’m ā€œscaredā€ of.

People who make their plans on day 60 and leave them worry me. Can’t you find ANYTHING to improve your trip? I mean gosh, why are you even going if that’s the case :wink:

Today I convinced DH that he would rather be at EPCOT instead of DHS on his actual birthday because the CLs were significantly smaller for DHS 2 days earlier. I switched all my ADRs, FPPs, and our shirt designs (because who wears World Traveler shirts to DHS?). It took me a while but @AuntB_luvsDisney’s advice on viewing FPP availability in a different park was spot on. I could see that FEA and RNRC were both available for times that worked for us on the new days so I broke down and changed them. My blood pressure was through the roof for about 15 minutes before I got everything settled but I’m fine now.

You really ought to.

I’ve made some tremendously good friends with whom I speak on a near daily basis through Lines/TP. The nice thing about a meetup is it can be as brief or as long as any of the people want. I always have something up my sleeve as an escape route so I can duck out if necessary. I think we all do. But I’ve never not wanted to stay and keep company with people I’ve gotten to know behind the screen, who share a passion and a love for my favorite place in a way most other people in my usual life don’t.

I feel like you and I might be the same person. My students say that I suffer from RBF at the beginning of the semester but they all love me and get my VERY dry humor by then end and all want to have me again.

Yes. This exactly.

I love reading ProfMatt’s posts as he is a good and intentionally entertaining poster. And I made a zillion changes in my plans before we went for the same reasons - as I rethought whether I was being overly ambitious and as I got more info - so I do not see changes in plans as a bad things.

We will be there around the same time, but I don’t want to meet you because I don’t have hours to sit and chat with you this trip. I’m sure if we met we would have a lot to talk about, I don’t like typing or texting I’m a talker. I too went to school to be a educator and love helping and teaching others. So if you see a guy who looks like Hadrid on a ECV say hi Joe and runaway or you’ll be stuck for hours talking. Unless you want to meet on the 27 for lunch that is our last day and all we have to do is check out and drive 1300 miles home that day. That goes for anyone but it would have to be out of the parks and at a QS.
