I’m directly facing space mtn and mine is wider towards window. But we have an island with lip and stools.

That white bldg is space

Actually the opposite. We were on the inside of the C.

The boys room you could see the castle pretty well so I’ll take it for the resort view price. Also bonus smell of clean laundry from balcony so must have been near laundry room.

I probably got it the wrong way round!

Suffice to say there are 2 different layouts, one has the bigger kitchen with the island and laundry room.

Before my next visit I better make sure I know which is which! :joy::joy:

It’s really obvious which is which when you look at a map of the rooms (like TPs) because the inside C rooms are very rectangular, while the outside C rooms are more wedge shaped.

Not as nice and has a bit of a musty smell but still a good amount of space.

The boys had a friend who loves Jack and whose bday it was and Jack recorded a bday greeting for him. The friend was overwhelmed.

Fantasmic, JBJB!, What’s This and Frozen with the holiday ending fantastic shows. Glisten, Mermaid and Villains were all okay to me. Parts of them were good but something is missing in all of them. We rode

And we saw Minnie Christmas fireworks

Beak and barrel was fun and the food fantastic but the 45 min is ridiculous and way too rushed I didn’t like margarita Too sweet but the Jack Daniel’s one with lemon, honey and chile was great

Chef Mickey’s breakfast was solid buffet and characters fun (pretty sure I’ve done all official character meals now woo hoo)

Today in DHS. 50s was solid food and we had a fantastic waiter. When a nearby tables kid demanded her food and was out of her chair he very calmly told her they came by but she wasn’t in her chair so they left. She better be in her chair when they come back or she’ll miss it again. Genius waitering/parenting.

Jazzy holidays in HBD I also enjoyed. Bao and charcuterie both great. Sliders solid and I don’t like wings but the sauce was good. The yellowtail I didn’t like the sauce, tasted mayo based. But the old fashioned was solid.

18yos are hard cuz they don’t act like adults but they hate to be parented. It’s like you can’t win. lol

Trying to make 130 wine bar George brunch if the 18yo can hurry. We’ll walk instead of boat. I think we can make it then. I expect unless the boat is right there it’s slower. We can take it home tho. Says it’s 1.1 mile walk from Room to restaurant.

We have 4pm cirque tickets and 8pm morimoto dinner rezzies so minus this part should be a nice break. I got to wake up naturally at 1010a. Woo hoo.

This hotel feels not like Disney. Just feels like a Vrbo condo. Is this what Saratoga springs looks like? This is the most non Disney hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve done a lot of em.
Treehouses are more Disney where I’ve stayed

I really enjoyed my stay at SSR and I liked the little Disney touches - the art, the decor, etc. But in comparison to all the other resorts it is definitely light on Disney tie-ins. What I liked most was the relaxed, remote feel of the resort.

SSR has subtle touches, but it is VERY Disney in that they are trying to evoke someplace else. That is…Saratoga Springs,NY. It isn’t about Disney characters (even though they are there.) we love it. While we love Boardwalk for location, we actually prefer SSR rooms to Boardwalk despite being very similar.

I guess I don’t know what Saratoga springs is supposed to be cuz the theming seems light in that regard. I didn’t mean the Mickeys or the hats. But like how akl feels like Africa.

I’ll have to lookup some pics of it.

It’s not a bad resort just the first one I’ve been that when I’m in the room I feel like I could be in a condo anywhere.
